Well I finished a little project, removed the old carpet I had installed four years ago was to dark , and I wanted to add black walnut drawer faces.
I was lucky to fine a supply of walnut in Riverton and found a guy to cut it to size and clean it up.
Nice,
One other suggestion: To hide the 120 VAC wire along passengers side, rather than that white strip, get a piece of walnut 2X2 and cut it down/route it so that the wire can be run in it. Makes it almost disappear. No walnut-- even stained clear ash will look very close. Cross section of the 2X2 will be a U.
Thanks Brett, great idea. ^.^d
Nice Andy.
I can foresee doing something similar when changing our floor ( bamboo if the DW gets her way ). Thanks for posting it.
Be sure to WEIGH (pounds/sq ft) any of your final picks. Bamboo, at least the bamboo floors I have laid in stick and brick house was HEAVY.
Bob,
Look into Kardean loose lay by Armstrong, really nice stuff several folks on the board have used it with good results.
Easy to lay and cuts easy .
Jor told me about it years ago and it comes in a lot of styles ^.^d .
Looking good Andy 👍👍
Andy,
That looks really good. Is that a glue down floor?
Jerry
Jerry,
I can be, it is a floating floor but can be glued down. It fits really nice together. I did not glue ours down.
It's Kardean loose lay by Armstrong.
