Title: table leaf
Post by: craneman on June 14, 2019, 04:48:08 pm
Three questions, did all coaches come with a Corian leaf? Where was it stored? Can one be obtained?
While eating lunch discovered the table would pull out from the wall.

You talking about the "dining" table, or the small table up front across from the couch?

The dining table.

Sorry - can't help.  We had a round dining table (that pulled out from wall, but no leaf) before we got rid of it.

Leaf would probably have to be stored in a closet...wouldn't fit elsewhere.

Probably a picture would help but it is a rectangular table with the same Corian as the counter top and bathroom sink.

One or more of mine was stored upright, secured to the wall of the closet by a plastic retaining strap with a snap closure.

Almost 4 years now and I probably never would have found it without your reply. It was horizontal across the bottom back of the closet that is full of the DW's clothes. Too bad I can't give you a dozen likes.

Found our leaf under the sofa after buying out coach, had no idea the table extended,
now I know what the plastic strap in the closet is for!
Information is king...

Some have leaves for the kitchen pull out table and sone do not.  Ours does not and has the 2 radiuses on the back side where the leaf would fit.  I believe the ones with a leaf are flat cut.

There is a latch for me under the table that must be unlocked to slide the top open, this is our panel

David is that panel same size as table...? on ours U300 we have one panel for the front table only..wondering if they designed it that way and use the front panel (smaller) for the dining table  ?

Our 270 only has the one "table" across from the kitchen, the panel adds about 8" to the table.
After putting in the panel when I took the photo this afternoon, my DW said put it back in, I like the bigger table.
Our front area opposite the sofa has a bookcase, the front of it (all oak) flips up to make nice cocktail holder, 18"x24" approx (tape measure down in storage and pouring rain)

When we reupholstered our dinnette, I made two other changes.  I rebuilt the bases to make the drawers full depth/width and I added a solid cherry top to the table.  The top is now about 5" wider and 6" longer.  Much more usable space.  I overlaid the existing Corian and attached the cherry top with clamp brackets so it can be removed by a future owner if they so desire.  Made a cherry overlay for the extension also, so the table gets even more usable space when we have guests.

John,

Wish I could take credit for the yard.  That's my neighbors yard.  Mine looks OK but he is a little CAR (Compulsive Anal Retentive) about his.  He loves working in the yard.  He and his wife are VERY good neighbors and nice people ;-).
