Well I picked up a new toy to help find my vacuum leaks and right off the bat I found the six pack just inboard of the left front wheel has a leak.
I see where these can be taken apart and rebuilt or cleaned out but where do you find the parts.
I have looked a HWH's web site and I am not having much luck. Do I have to remove one just to find out what the model is?

Steve,
What's the toy?
Thanks craneman, I did not see that one in my search. ^.^d
it is a ALLOSUN Ultrasonic Leak Detector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013QH4HEI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) .
works good but if you put the Extension tube on be very careful taking it off, it can pull the microphone cover off.
Assume you are aware of Tom's kits as well, should you need the plungers and seals?
Replica HWH Plungers Redux (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=28733.msg333155#msg333155)
HWH Part Numbers:
Solenoid: RAP1940
O-Ring Kit: RAP6554
Also, in case it wasn't covered in that excellent rebuild thread above, Tom McCloud over at the Newell group sometimes sells complete kits for six pack rebuild. I don't remember what I paid. The kit includes 3 O-rings, a plunger and spring for each solenoid. His email is tom@newellgurus.com.
jor
I will send him a note and see, I figured that after 7 months they would be gone.
I'll find out
Thanks jor, I think he is the same Tom mentioned in Michelle's post above.
Steve, Tom orders these periodically when he has enough requests. He sometimes orders extras to have on hand for people who need them quickly.
Thanks, I sent him a email so I will see what he says ^.^d
If he doesnt have any... I have an extra.. I think it was $110 plus shipping? I think.. If anyone remembers what the last ones ran.. I would like my money back if possible. I just rebuilt mine a couple weeks ago.. found I had bought 3... 2 the first go around and another 1 thinking I had only ordered 1 on the first go... typically I dont do this stuff but I can admit life isnt the same as it was when I was 20 or even 30..Remembering is not as easy sometimes lol.
I too have one extra kit that would make a pair with David's if you need it Steve.
I can also look - seem to recall we found a kit or two when we pulled the "box of big RV spares" out of storage.
You can buy the o-rings a LOT cheaper than via the kit
Our leveling system problem (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=12423.msg67934#msg67934)
If the o-rings are the problem and causing the leak then any o-ring of the proper size and material should work. But there is much more than that to consider. The seat being worn is usually the reason for leaking.
So yes, changing the o-rings could fix the problem but more likely not. I think it's a good idea to have either a spare solenoid or rebuild kit on hand in case of a problem on the road. Just another tool/part in the box.
Depending on how bad the face is ... I had mine Milled flat and it worked great.. first round it leaked after cleaning it as the oxidation was bad.. So I had both front and rear resurfaced to seal it up properly
I just got a message from Tom McCloud and he said the kits are ready for purchase. The cost is $125 for one and $240 for two kits. The total cost includes the shipping via USPS. All transactions are done through PayPal.
John M.
I got the same one a bit ago.
Do the kits have a shelf life?
You can decide for yourself. The first post in the (3 year old) thread linked below tells you exactly what is contained in the kits.
Brand New Replica HWH Plungers (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=27598)
My original ones were off an 02 ... the rubber was a little hard but they still worked... Cant say they were leaking that I could see before I tore it apart... had the new kit for approx 1.5 to 2 yrs.. still good so as long as its in a sealed bag of sorts I say a shelf life like all other rubber products... For the most part.. I have a rubber oring kit that is 5-7yrs plus... still good..
I agree.. up to you to decide what is acceptable or not.
What years of HWH six packs do these kits fit.. I have a 1996 and assume kits will fit but try to limit operating on assumptions. May sound a silly question but not to the one who will be depending on a hard to find spare part .
These should fit on any coach from 1992 thru 2003 for sure. Follow the link in Reply #20 above. Look at photos (first post) of the solenoid valves. If they look like the ones on your coach, the kits will fit.
For more reassurance, send a PM to John44 or Doug W on this Forum. They have '96 models and purchased kits in the original offering.
Sorry... Which Tom do we PM? Thanks.

Tom is also a member of this Forum (encantotom). Post linked below has a few photos of his nice little RV barn. I have barn envy!

Crap that image hurts.. I need to go sweep my shop floor. Sweeping will never get me where Tom is.
