Thought I would check some temps today. 91 f. outside with 72% humidity.
Ran about 50 miles, half traffic and half freeway. By VMSPC, water was 182 f., oil 193 f.
By ir gun, hyd reservoir was 120 f., fwd fan motor 125 f., rear fan motor 122 f. Steering box 98 f.
Hyd pump itself was about 170 f., but suspect that was a result of heat transfer from engine block.
I have the standard Sauer Danfoss controller.
Can't be disappointed with your numbers. I was in Florida last couple of weeks but it wasn't as hot as it has been in the southeast and all flat ground so I had no issues. I'm going west in 3 weeks and the middle of July usually turns up the dial a bit out that way. I'm like you as in being a gauge watcher. I don't have the computer set up to monitor temps many of you guys have but I do keep a close watch. I would kick myself in the buttocks if I damaged anything due to heat so a guy needs to be deligent when running in hot weather.I do use my thermometer at stops for hubs and areas you mention.
Jim unknown what parts your system has versus any others. Maybe Foretravel changed the systems parts?
I guess that is possible, have all repair records from new, and Foretravel did not change any hyd related parts. I did not compare part numbers, but components look exactly the same as the ones on my 99 coach.
Never took hyd temps on the 99, but have felt hyd reservoir after running a while, and it was never that hot.
Great info. Need others to see if there's is different. The advantage we have
