Title: Headlight cleaning and polishing
Post by: George Hatfield on June 25, 2019, 06:01:30 pm
We have an Xtreme headlight remodel on our coach.  I think it was done back in 2011.  The lenses are getting a bit cloudy due to dirt and/or sun damage (I presume) and I'd like to clean them up but there does not seem to be an easy way to remove the lenses.  Has anyone done this?  See the attached pic.  Thanks in advance.

George, the discoloration of the high beam reflector is annoying to me too.  I have replaced one fixture some years ago to make it look good and have chosen to not worry about the other one.  I do not think the fixture, which is removed from the back, can be disassembled.

I can not recall the last time I used the high beams.

I believe those headlights are made by Hella and can be removed from the back. It might be best just to replace the entire assembly. One source should be Rally Lights, Hella, TerraTrip, Hans, WRC, ZAMP (http://www.rallylights.com)

Im telling ya. Before you do anything, grab some high deet mosquito repellant. Spray it on an old sock and polish your lens a little. Trust me it works.
