Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a question about how to turn on and operate my camera system. I have a Total Vision remote control camera system with a Panasonic 7" LCD dash mounted. When I turn on the power I don't get an image and when I access the menu system there are several settings that I'm not sure how to access. I think I'm missing a simple step. I just bought the coach today and brought her home but couldn't figure out the camera system.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We don't have many Nimbus owners here, so the answer to your question may be slow arriving.
I did a quick Google search, and found a post at iRV2 that may be helpful:

On your dash you will have two switches one to power on camera. A second switch for camera on off. Your monitor also has a on and off switch. In addition you have a rectangular white mini panel that controls the depth and angle of the camera. It has a on and off buttons. If power is on and camera is on you should see image. On your monitor if menu has video imput's keep tabbing until you get the right one. If still no picture check to see if video cable (yellow) is connected to monitor. I just replaced my camera so that's all I know.

Not sure what my issue is - but today I took the coach for a drive and turned on the camera and suddenly the camera worked for about 5 minutes - the image would become distorted with horizontal lines and then it quit working.
A couple of questions for the group.
Are these systems wireless or hard wired?
Does this appear to be a loose connection?
I will call the Rod Thomas today - I sent him an email as well.

That should be a wired system and a call to Total Vision would most likely satisfy your issues with this. Sounds though like you have a loose connection. Did you purchase this coach from an owner in Florida? We had looked at one and it may have been this one. It was at a dealer. DiMetrie or something like that. Oh, and welcome to the forum!
Thank you for the info - I purchased it from the original owner in Southern California. He kept it in amazing condition in a climate controlled custom garage he built for it. This is my first Foretravel - I spent a year looking at Country Coach until some friends turned me on to FT. Up until a few months ago, I had never heard of FT. It is amazing!

Call FOT technical service. Give them your coach number and they can take you through the troubleshooting process. May have to be a Motorcoach member for this service. IIRC to get expedited service you need to be a member and normal tech service is for everybody.

Thank you to everyone on this group - I followed your recommendations and between Rod, at Total Vision and Tech Support from Foretravel I was able to locate the issue and address the problem.
It appears that my camera switching box under the dash may be part of the problem - at the advice of the technician at FT and Rod, I was able to bypass the box and connect the two male video RCA cable (Input from Camera and Output to LCD) together with a double female RCA adapter (which I bought at a local audio/video shop) and see if my monitor would show the image.
After bypassing the switch box it does work on the monitor - so we ruled out the monitor - next I disconnected all of the RCA plugs going into the box ( 4 of them 1-Right 2-Left 3-Rear Camera and 4-output RCA to monitor) and cleaned out the connections and re-connected them back to the switch box. Everything worked great. Until......
When I put it back together - dash and all - it started the problem again - what I noticed was that the switching box was origianlly mounted with velcro to the in-dash Pioneer GPS/Radio/Map - I figured perhaps some RF or antennae distortion was leaking into the switching box and causing some type of artifact - so I opened the dash again - re-mounted the switch box about a 8 inches away from the Pioneer and I no longer have any issues.
If it continues later on then one last issue could be that the switch box may have issues from past overheating of circuit boards and in that case, I will replace the switch box.
One great thing is that if it happens again I can just bypass the switch box with double RCA adapter and have at least the rear camera operations and the pan and zoom work if I need to look left and right.
Sorry for the long reply - but it might help someone else down the road.

It is always surprising how complicated these systems are and how something simple like the closeness of their mounting can profoundly affect them.
