Title: Limp mode
Post by: Old phart phred on July 08, 2019, 10:16:29 pm
Why is there a paper clip on my motorcycle key ring?  Because with a paper clip I can jumper/override a few simple idiot switch and ride home. Been there done that. So let's start a coach owners list of basic supplies and tools to limp off of the side of the road. The knowledge base for a limp fix is this forums contributors which I salute. Tell us what's in your bag!

this is the kind of input I am looking for.

also learned this today

"JIC fittings are dimensionally identical to AN (Army-Navy) fittings, but are produced to less exacting tolerances and are generally less costly"  I assume "Earls" fittings are also JIC.

Nice thing is that JICs are all dirt cheap. If you get the right fittings and hoses, you can cut and fasten at home. Our hydraulic hoses are only single layer and don't take much rubbing together to fail.
