Does anyone have a picture of what the am/fm antenna for my 97 U270 looks like?
I was chasing down a wind leak (and found it) today and noticed there is a round base maybe 2" in dia. with just a tiny nub sticking up. It is above the drives seat just aft of the front cap. Is there supposed to be a antenna attached to it?
There is usually an AM/FM antenna and a CB antenna. ON mine, the CB antenna is above the driver and the AM/FM is above the passenger.

How do you like that king jack john ? thinking about getting one.
Hans
Thanks RIch, My CB is on the curb side and it is broken off but the CB didn't work anyway. The other mount is on the streetside and it looks like a base that they sealed over.
Thanks jor, that base looks about like what I have, so it is just a SS whip on a spring?
I hope they work good, I have one I need to put on ;)
Yea, just a run of the mill antenna.

Works great. I've put one on three coaches. The reception is at least as good as the batwing. I like it because you no longer have to hoist and lower the batwing. Also, you get rid of that scody little handle on the ceiling. Go for it.

Wind noise? I had a wind noise, solved it with 3 ft of
3/4 " foam pipe insulation. Noise was very disturbing
Wrap insulation on the Awning arm in front of side window. Noise gone!
Mine is coming from the joint on the front cap, it has never leaked water but going down the road it gets pretty noisy.
Structural glue and rivit the Front cap joint.
I like my King OTA . But really we use the mobley 90% of the time and bar room TVs for the rest.
I am going to use Dicor on that joint. I found it with the ultrasonic leak detector. It came with a unit you can put inside of something and turn it on then go outside and use the detector so see where it is coming from. ^.^d
