Title: Headlamp indicator on dash
Post by: Lt403 on July 19, 2019, 10:55:45 pm
Hi everyone,
I have a "headlamp on" light on my dash that is lit even though my headlights are off .
When I turn my headlights on it goes off.
I have stopped for the night and don't know if this will drain my starter batts.
I remember reading in the manual that the windshield wipers activate the light but I have hit the off button for the wipers and it's  still on.
Thanks
Frank

Try checking the ground for that lamp. Good chance a bad ground is causing a back feed from another device on the same ground. Maybe the HWH indicator lamp? That small lamp shouldn't run down a good battery overnight. If you're concerned about it, just unplug the lamp from the socket.

That may be caused by the daytime running lights. does it go out if you set the park brake?

It goes out when I turn on the headlamps and when I set the break
What are you calling the daytime running light

The inner light on your turn signal assemblies, one on each side, come on when parking brake is off and ignition on.

Stand out front with the coach running and have your wife release the park brake and then you will see the daytime running lights come on.
