I've lost my 12v power to the house today while changing out my house batteries. I was plugged into shore power and removed my house batteries starting with the last one in the chain of 3. When I disconnected the 3rd the 12v lights went out which made sense to me since there was a break in the power chain. Inserted the first new battery and connected and the 12v house lights etc. came back on. All is well at this point. Then as I was arranging the first battery one of the disconnected battery cables now loose touched a metal bracket and sparked and the 12v lights went out. I'm assuming I shorted something and hopefully tripped a breaker, relay or fuse. Can someone point me to what exactly I'm looking for here to reset or replace to get the 12v power back on?
Thanks.
You had a short your 12 volt fuses. I don't know where they are on a nimbus. My u 320 had them under the bed and under the fridge.
Disconnect all 12 volts. Wait a minute, then reconnect.
Maybe a self-resetting breaker will reset.
I give this a 30% chance of working.
Question: What happens when you short a 12 volt battery to ground in a VW Squareback? Lots of smoke! Ask how I know this. ;)
This was totally my bad. After taking a break and reviewing what I did I found I neglected to connect one of the negative leads. There are 3.
Thanks.
