Title: Black colored water from kitchen sink only
Post by: Lt403 on July 20, 2019, 07:44:14 pm
Good afternoon everyone,
My recently acquired 03 U320 is giving me black colored water from the kitchen sink ONLY. It comes out like black gold then clears out. No other appliance is doing this. Currently on the road from South Bend to Brunswick GA

Probably have a carbon water filter on that faucet. Have to look for it under the sink.

Yup, sounds like the under counter filter for the sink is bad.

There may be a bypass kit with your filter, think they were beige color , bit like a hockey puck that clamps in, in place of the filter

My water comes from below and there is a T fitting that goes to the filter that only supplies the water dispenser next to the kitchen faucet and ice maker.
As far as I can see the water to the sink is not filtered.

Think Red Tractor hit on it.yesterday afternoon my kitchen sink did the same both hot and cold.. while I have only had this coach 1 year I have used it regularly and have ran countless tanks of tank water thru it, tank water is all I use in the coach. The water was colored like charcoal and I mean rich. Cleared right up but I will put a new filter on it before we go out again.Think we will find out the filters were over due for service and the charcoal let go.

Can the water be back flowing ( siphoning) from the filter back to the t connection and out the kitchen sink when opened?
The filter is higher than the connection.
I will change the filter when the sun comes up.
Thanks everyone.

We have the same setup. There may be some corrosion in the silver hose feeding the sprayer. Our shower hose does the same thing at the start of the season.
