I have found a new Diesel Fleet Fuel Discount Program. This program is available at Prevost Community Forum also. The TSD Logistics company provides an EFS fleet fuel card now to Motorhome owners. This is the card large trucking companies give to their drivers.
The discount on diesel fuel at Loves Truck Stops is 40 cents plus. TA/Petro provides a discount of 30 cents plus and Pilot is only about 5 cents plus. TSD earns a fee for processing the transaction of 10% of the discount. Even with the 4 cent fee at Loves in my area, diesel is less than my farm friend pays for 3000 to 5000 gallons bulk purchase. This is an excellent discount that will save you money. There is no annual fee or cost beyond the 10% of the discount. The discount is only at the mentioned truck stops at truck pumps.
AND the discount is calculated from posted cash price – not credit price. So, if you have been paying credit price, this is 5 to 10 cents more savings.
I am providing a link below after the program description to click to access the application forms. It is all online, secure and easy to sbmit.
THE PROGRAM
The program will require you to fill out a form authorizing Automated Clearing House Transactions (ACH Debit) and a EFS Fuel Card form with your information. There are terms and conditions you should read to understand your participation in the program.
There is no annual fee. TSD Logistics collects its fees by retaining 10% of the fuel savings.
You will be provided with a complete listing of TSD Logistics fuel prices based on state and city for Love's, TA/Petro and Pilot / Flying J.
Your participation in the program is limited to only diesel fuel, DEF, and propane. Discounts only apply to diesel fuel purchased at truck islands.
The way the fuel discount program works is TSD Logistics will issue you a card. At the pump you will swipe the card and you will enter needed security information. When the pump is activated, pump your fuel, hang up the nozzle and drive away. At the end of the day or the following day you will receive an email summary of the transaction. The funds will automatically be deducted from the account you provided.
This program will provide deep discounts at Love's locations and while there are no penalties for low volume purchases please understand each transaction has a cost to TSD. We would encourage users of the program to act responsibly by using the program for large fuel purchases so we remain in good standing with the program provider.
In the event you need to communicate at any time with team at the fuel desk at TSD Logistics you may call or email the following:

Thursday, I fueled at Love's Baytown. Cash price was $2.85, TSD price was $2.43. Saved $0.42 per gallon. After the TSD fee, my price was $2.47 per gallon or savings of $0.38 per gallon which is $38 per 100 gallon purchase.
My grass farm friend purchases road diesel 3000+ gallons at a time for $2.48 per gallon. This is serious savings.
At the pump
Insert card and enter PIN number
Select Tractor
Skip DEF (select if you need DEF)
Skip Cash Advance

Friday morning I received an email detailing the transaction, more info than I wanted to know. This included the amount to be debited from my bank and the date of the debit.
NO going inside to authorize and NO going inside to get a receipt. EASY What is not to like.
Any limit on how many gallons (or how many dollars) you can pump at each fill-up?
Will you get a end-of-month (or monthly end-of-billing-period) email statement?
Chuck, You set the limit per day that you can purchase, mine is $800 per day, no cut off.
Next day is an email detailing the purchase, ie, receipt with more info than you can imagine. The next business day, TSD debits the bank account you provided, no credit card transaction fees that way.
Send me your email address and I will forward my transaction email to you. jrlegett at gmail dot com
This sounds great Rudy! I just received my Pilot corporate card that can be swiped at the pump. No going inside and can use either my Good Sam or Pilot discount card. They won't apply both. Next, by end of month your bill must be paid in full. Will look into the TSD deal as well. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Rudy! That looks like a great deal! ^.^d ^.^d ^.^d
see ya
ken
Joe, Does your Pilot corporate card have a 40 cent discount like the TSD card does at Loves?
Fuel Discount Program.....to good to be true? - iRV2 Forums (http://www.irv2.com/forums/f84/fuel-discount-program-to-good-to-be-true-450563.html) lots to read..
good deal for some..Would be nice to have when needed though
Rudy - care to summarize the differences between this and the other Prevost Community program from Profit Tools?
Rudy's initial entry pretty much tells everything about this new program. The nice thing is the lack of a annual fee and if you are under 100 gallons, you don't get dinged for it. We just signed up for the Profit program, but think we will switch to this one.
Have had the proffit cards for 4 years, sometimes works at pilot/flying j, but always at loves.
They have a small transaction fee and no limits, but have only seen 10 cents off the cash price.
That is my coach we fueled on Rudy's card yesterday to try out his new card. Worked great! Saved 20 bucks off the $150 that the pump read at the end of the fill up.
Michelle,
Profit has $25 annual fee, TSD has no annual fee
Profit gives 10 off at Love's, posted cash everywhere else.
TSD give 40+ cents off at Loves, 30+ cents off at TA, 30+ cents off at Petro, 5 cents off at Pilot, posted cash price everywhere else
Profit charges $1.5 for out of network, ie. not at Loves, TSD has no out of network
Profit charges $1 for less than 100 gallons, TSD has no minimum so a top off just before parking for a while has no penaty
TSD charges 10% of discount off of posted cash price. EFS card good at all truck pumps nation wide so when not at one of the above truck stops, no discount off of cash so no fee to TSD but they still process the transaction.
The Loves in my area discount price is less than bulk road diesel at 3000 gallon purchase.
Purchase 100 gallons at Loves nation wide and save $40 off of posted cash price
Hope this helps
David,
EFS is a fleet fuel card. This is one of the cards fleet owners give their drivers to purchase diesel at truck pumps for the fleet trucks. The fleet owner pays the diesel bill, not the driver. There are other fleet fuel cards just like there are various credit cards.
TSD Logistics and Profit Tools are two companies that administer fuel programs using the EFS card. Similar to Chase Bank and Bank of America being two banks that administer programs using VISA credit cards.
Terms of the program are set by the administering company, not EFS. My credit union has better ViSA terms than did Bank of America.
EFS has the network to send purchase transactions to the administering company similar to VISA and other credit cards.
Gina at TSD is watching how many motorhome owners Foreforum, Newell Guru forum and Prevost Community Forum are ushering into the TSD system. Filling one of the forum names and/or my name in the "referred by" box groups us all together making all us of a large group they want to take good care of, a big fleet with lots of business. Not just one lone motorhome owner. Gina is very easy to talk to, answers all question and is our go to gal.
I get a daily email of today's discount purchase price nation wide for the four truckstops. Sen me you email and I will send anyone a email so you can see diesel discount price where ever you are.
There is no place, big or small, car or truck or 3000 gallon bulk that is less than Loves and TSD in my area.
I have a separate checking account at my credit union to keep them from accessing my regular account. No one is credit checked. If you apply you will receive a card and can purchase, in my case $800 of diesel as that is the limit I set, with no money at TSD. TSD is totally exposed to the EFS system for payment of the part EFS and the truck stop wants.
So a social security number is needed to assure TSD which Rudy Legett they are looking for if I do not pony up the money. One can fax the application in, I listed that number in my post. OR, one can omit the SS number, send the application in and phone the SS number to Gina which is also secure as is the fax. No SS number, TSD is not going to trust you to pay up as they are exposed with no money in reserve to access.
This is the real deal if you like it. If you do not, do what makes you happy.
Thanks for posting the comparison Rudy. I thought it would be useful to have for folks who are wondering what the pros and cons of each program are to help them make an informed decision.
Do you think we should make topic one a sticky as well since the Profit Tools one is?
Yes Mam, I sure do.
My Newell friend just posted he purchased fuel in Tallula, LA, for $2.53 with the pump showing $3.03. That is 50 cents per gallon. Where can one purchase 100 gallons for $40 to $50 less than at a truck stop. No where in my area.
Thanks for all you do for all of us.
I was just listing a link to the topic on IRV2... its a good read and gets the myths taken care of if anyone was wondering..I think its a great idea and the cost saving is important to anyone that wants to save money.. if you dont then do as you may... Plenty of people using it and it is working great.
I will probably sign up and have it as a reserve card... so when I can use it and when I need it, I have it.
David, I like my card and the service I get from Gina. I trust you will too.
I do have two friends that do not buy enough diesel to get a card. Do not know how saving 40 plus dollars anytime they fill up is not inviting, go figure.
All the very best.
The only way it might be better is if one could drive on their money and pay the bill at the end of the month. :)
And of course as usual it is not available to Canadians no doubt who travel many times throughout US A but have a cndn SS# not a US one. I do have a US bank account as well.
JohnH
Downloaded the form from your link. Will complete and send. Sounds like a useful (no going in, standing in line, handing over a card, and so on....) program. I am often tested when using GAS BUDDY to find a place that I can get in and out of when chasing cheaper fuel. Wish something like this had been available when we full timed. Thanks Rudy.
Thanks Rudy!
After sleeping on it, we have decided we need to try this program. Our sincere thanks to Rudy for posting the info! ^.^d
We are currently using a fleet card from PetroCard (used to be provided by Pioneer Fuel but they got out of the RV fuel card business). The main benefit of PetroCard is having access to the unattended automated cardlock network stations all across the country. These are often cleaner and less congested than the big truck stops, and we prefer to use them when convenient to our travel route. However, the PetroCard does not provide any discounted price - we always pay the local posted price. The card does work as a "swipe and pump" card at Love's Travel Stops, but again at the posted (cash) price. Billing is via a once-a-month debit from our bank account, with 7 days warning (email statement) before the cash is withdrawn.
Since we already maintain a "minimum balance" 2nd online bank account set up to handle the PetroCard debits, using this TSD card will be pretty much the same. Only change is we will have to move funds into the account more frequently (every time we stop for fuel), but thanks to instant 24hr online communications with our bank (USAA), this is no big deal.
I hope the TSD program is successful, and they attract enough RV customers to make it worthwhile. Perhaps in the future they will even expand the program to include other fuel providers. Making it work (with a discount) at automated cardlock stations would be a BIG plus, in my opinion.
For those who decide to sign up, PLEASE note there is a referral blank on the form. Please fill in Rudy Legett and/or Foreforums.com so TSD knows how many folks from this forum are participating.
JohnH, Please call Gina Monday and inquire into what they might be able to do for you. The EFS card discount is good at all Loves. So when you are in the colonies you could save a bunch of money.
The SSN is to identify the specific person they are looking for in the event payment is not made. If you and Gina can agree on how to locate you and debit an account, I bet you are on.
Do check this out. You are not out till Gina says so.
Thanks RUDY,
PS we spoke a few weeks ago on the phone.
I was looking through my coach paperwork and found an invoice from you, looks like you've had your hands on the aquahot.
For those who might fear this fuel card program is being run out of somebody's garage, here is a link to the "parent" organization:
TSD Logistics - Bulk Freight Transport - Trucking Company (https://www.tsdlogistics.com)
JohnH, Do indeed call Gina Monday. She sent me a message saying a US bank or Credit Union would work. Let me know what you hear, please
The discount in Baytown today is 51 cents off of posted cash price of $2.84.0
JohnH, Gina told me you would only need a Canadian ID number and US bank. So go for it
I've been a part of the Profit Tools fuel program for several years and really appreciate it, but this sounds as if it's a much better deal.
Thanks, Rudy, for letting us know!
Oops, double post
Spoke with Gina at TSD and best thing is to email the application without your social security number and call her with it after sending the email
Rudy, thanks for posting this. I sent my info in yesterday. Wonder how long it takes.
Jeff, Takes a day or so. Lots of signups right now, but you might call Gina and ask her when. You will know for sure then.
They usually call you as the card is ready to mail.
I got my card in less than a week. I did not get a call , card just showed up in the mail

More good news. The link above is to the new all online application. Fill out online and submit. Plus no social security number now. Really easy.
Just submitted ours. Thanks for the lead.
Do I need a Prevost VIN?
No prevost vin needed Tom
Thanks Rudy. Just registered online.
Yes, Thanks, Rudy!
I just registered, too. Looks like a good program.
Glen
Yesterday I purchased $327 of diesel on the pump for $278 debited today. Saved 49 bucks.
Thanks Rudy, I just signed up.
Thanks Rudy.
We also just submitted online.
Typical (for me) timing... I mailed my hard copy application (via snail mail) just before Rudy announced the online application. Sigh....
Oh Well, this massive glut of applications from ForeForum members will probably crash their computer system. At least they will have time to get it back up and running before my application gets there. (I always look for the Silver Lining). 8)
We're trying to set up an account with our Bank of America, and then process the application. Unfortunately, there aren't any BOA branches near us. It will take an hour trip each way, but we are on board!! Rudy.....Amy and I ALWAYS listen to your sound advice!!! Thanks, again.
Just signed up! Thank you Rudy.
Pulled into the campground in Fairbanks and the nice lady handed us our envelope with our TSD card!
Too bad we won't be able to use it until we hit the lower 48.
Thanks Rudy!
It's supposed to work as an efs card, which is supposed to work at Petro-Pass cardlock pumps in Canada.
Try it and let us know.
Tom, While I do not know if it will at those places, I do know there will be NO discount. That means NO fee for TSD. TSD would be processing the purchase for free.
Check with Gina at TSD for accurate answer.
Rudy,
I faxed in the application right after you called. I've heard nothing yet. Should I wait for their call or submit again on-line?
Brett, I know they are busy with a surge of signups. But a call to Gina gives you an accurate answer.
Your info on TSD was good news and we are waiting on the application call back...thanks Rudy.
Got my call back today. Super fast and easy. The card will be in the mail tomorrow.
I asked, and was told their efs card should work on Canadian Petro-pass cardlock pumps.
Received discount card today. Installed app on phone, Loves in Waller, TX $2.32...Nice
Just signed up 😁 Thanks Rudy👍
Got my call back today. Card on the way now.
I got my call back yesterday, card on the way. It is hard to believe in this day and age that something this good is so easy.
Thanks again Rudy.
I got my call back as well, card is on the way. Thanks Rudy!
Just submitted the application. Thanks again Rudy!!
Larry
Gina just called to get the rest of my info, very pleasant call.
She said that she has been really busy over the last few days with the increase in users. She was quite happy about the new source of customers.
Have a good 'un!
Glen
Got my call this morning. Should be just in time. We are starting our trip next week.
Thanks Rudy!
Rich
Got our call from Miss Gina. Very sweet lady and was quite informative. Very customer oriented. Can't wait to get our cards.
I submitted mine on Monday. How long did it take for her to call from when you submitted your application?
Got the card today and set up the app on n my phone, took just about a week.
Need 100 gallons so the savings will be welcome.
This is a great program : thanks Rudy for letting all of us know about it!!
Wednesday, I had lunch with all the ladies that make the fuel program happen. The TSD building is a large "T" shaped modern one. People everywhere busy busy busy. They have 115 trucks to just deliver carbon black. Wall full of logos of all the tire manufacutrers that they deliver carbon black to, Cooper, Toyo, etc.
They are backed up three days with fuel card signups. They are recuriting other staff to help with the rush. One of the ladies at lunch was President's secretary who is helping out.
It was a grand time for sure.
Got my call today. I am tied up till next week so I will call them back. The info I needed was at home and I am in St Louis.
Larry
Got my call today too. The folks are very professional and courteous.
PB
Got my call today also. Thanks Rudy!
My card should be waiting in my mailbox at home. They are sending daily emails of current pricing. The prices look great. I just wish I had my card for the trip home.
Filled up Tuesday at Loves, received final receipt Wednesday, works as advertised. ;D ;D ;D
Gina called today...thanks Rudy!
I just signed up and waiting on the call now.
I put Rudy Foretravel Forums for the reference.
Thanks Rudy for the great find.
Our card arrived in today's mail. THANX RUDY!!!
got the card yesterday. leaving soon
Rudy, I finally applied today as been busy. We will see how things go.
Thx
JohnH
For those who have already received their cards: When do you start getting the daily email with fuel prices? Did you have to do anything to get the emails started, or is it automatic?
Started coming about a day after I got the card, did not ask for them , but appreciate it.
My card is in the mail and I've already received emails.
Got our card today. Thanks Rudy.
Just got our card in the mail. Tank full so I figure from Minot to Cheyenne somewhere along the route we'll check out the savings next week...
Jeff, The savings from posted cash price today in Cheyenne is $0.34 while in Baytown the savings is $0.54. Do not know the reason for the difference between the tow places other than distance from refinery. But, about $34 per hundred gallons will buy lunch.
The savings in ND are about the same in one place and less in the other Loves.
All the best
Something happened. Prices are not as good as before.
I'm still waiting to get home and start using my card. But...
The daily prices as of today are only showing a 5 cent savings And I've checked in multiple states.
Tom, where are you? Fifty cent savings here.
If you are looking at Pilot, it is always a nickel. The discount you want is at and only at Loves.
I looked at the email lists. In California, Texas, and Nevada, both Loves and Pilot.
Ok. My email Loves pdf was a mislabeled Pilot list. The xlxs file is correct. 50 cents.
We received our card yesterday but I'm not getting the emails yet. And I'm wondering how or when a person sets the daily limit.
Albany Oregon Loves has d at $2.26 but we're full so the savings will have to wait.
You should have set your daily limit on the form you sent in
Loves sounds like the way to go with this card. I plan to use Loves, but not in California's Central Valley where it's all B20. I don't know about elsewhere in the state.
My next fill up should be on the way to Grandvention, just over the border in NV or AZ.
According to Rudy's Post #1 in this thread, Loves and T/A Petro are really the only logical places to use the card. If you frequently stop at Pilot Flying J then you are better off getting the RV Plus card. It offers a 8 cent discount from the cash price, and is a no limit swipe and pump card.
Pilot RV Plus (https://www.rvpluscard.com)
Rudy's card also gets a discount at pilot/flying j , it is 5 cents. So it works at all 3 places. Here is my current email with spread sheets for the 3
Does it work at any cardlock pumps?
Tom, unless the cardlock price is better than Loves, why go there?
Cleaner, less congested, no seedy characters (of both sexes) hanging around looking for a handout.
The question is best asked at the EFS 800 number.
I just got my first email with the Loves and Pilot prices. In the "Best Discounted Price" column, is that number the price before TSD takes out their 10%, or is it the price after they take out their 10%?
In other words, if the difference in price between the two price columns is 50 cents, will I save 50 cents a gallon when I get my bill, or will I save 45 cents a gallon?
I could wait until I use the card the first time to find out, but that might be a while...
Oh, and where are the TA/Petro prices? They are supposed to be about 30 cent/gallon discount according to Post #1 in this thread.
Still waiting for my call. Looks like I will not have it in time for our trip to Utah and Colorado.
JohnH
I'm in the same boat as you. I sent an email to Gina last night. She said she didn't see anything. If I don't get a call tomorrow, then I'll call Wednesday morning and resubmit and she said she would expediate it. It's been a week for me.
Mike
Try calling them first thing in the morning john
I'm waiting also. Must be very busy. I tried email to Gina with Rudy's address for her...no good. I called and left voicemail. Will see. We don't need it until early October.
Now that I have my card, I can use the efs app. It shows a lot more than fj/pilot and loves. Some might even be cardlock??
The TSD Facebook site shares they have 300 sign ups on their desk. Very busy with the response. Just takes time to deal with the response.
Got my card today...Just in time for our trip to Santa Fe and Durango, can't wait to get out of this humidity!
Thanks RUDY!
Dumb question. How do you access the efs app?
You have to download it from the app store for your phone or smart device. I think they have a version for both Android and Apple.
I cannot find an efs app in the App Store. Is it on the TSD app?
EFS card control
I have sent 3 emails following my application as I did not have the routing number of my bank when doing the form so sent it next day. Then I wrote to inform them of my Washington State mail address to help speed it up, no answers to any?
JohnH
I just received my call from Gina super nice. Took about 12 days from application to call. Should get card in the 14 day timeframe from application. She said she has handle 500 applications in the last six weeks. Extremely busy.
We've had our card several days. I got my first message regarding fuel prices, today.
Is the EFS app free??
Thanks Tom, tried several different ways yesterday and didn't work. Today it did.
We only use Flying J / Pilot with RV Card and my credit card also gives me additional rewards rebate.
Just got my call back. I won't see card before I head out to MOT, but that's OK. At least I have a card coming.
Mike
Not sure Rudy, as all the paperwork is at our son's home and it is being sent to me as I write this. I just filled out the online form over the weekend for the TDS card, but have not heard back from them yet. Will let you know on the corporate card and what that entails. It took Pilot over 6 weeks before they processed and sent the card, but they say that is normal???? Not sure about that!
UPDATE: Rudy, received my Pilot/FJ card today and went on their site and activated the card. There is no savings unless I use my Travels Reward Card, which I use now. The only thing I liked about this card to start with was not having to go inside to give card and come back for a receipt if it was less than what I thought I would take.
I heard back from Gina yesterday and she will be processing our account soon. Real nice lady and offered to expedite me, but I told her I would just wait my turn, as I am at a RV park now for at least 2 weeks. Looking forward to some real savings, thanks to you Rudy!
Hey Barry, A prevost took on 153 gallons in Binghampton,NY, and saved $94.17. See if FlyingJ is anywhere close to that, rewards card and all.
This card is a real money saver.
If you do the math, using this card at Loves or TA yields a significant discount over using the FJ card to save a few cents and your bank card for a 4 or 5 percent rebate at FJ or Pilot.
When I head East for Grandvention I plan to fill up , around 100 gallons, in Kingman Arizona.
The EFS app is really useful, showing the map with the best prices in green. And not just FJ/Pilot, Loves, and TA. There are other stations.
71stpsde they will expedite your card to you if you call. We received ours in Alaska in a couple days. They may charge if it is Fedex or USPS priority mail. Could be worth the money.
Or have it sent to MOT if it hasn't been mailed yet.
No big deal. It's only 300 miles from Naco. I'll be able to use the card when I head to Grandvention.
Mike
Got my call today......card is in the mail !!! Thanks, again, Rudy.
Got the call yesterday and hopefully get the card in a week or so before our trip to Wyoming.
Thanks Rudy
Finally got hooked up with Linda. She had tried to reach me last Wednesday but I couldn't talk. Called me yesterday but I had walked away from my phone and missed her. Got her this morning early. Can't wait. Very nice and cordial.
Larry
Just called and spoke to Tara. She asked for my bank acct # and said it will be mailed today to my washington mail address so should be here by Friday I guess. Thank you Tara (and Rudy) for this as we canadians are hit with 37% exchange rate already so would be nice to get some of it back so to speak.
JohnH
Heard back from Gina Friday and card is coming to us at our campsite! Said we will have it Friday, just in time for our next trip to New Hampshire! Thank you Gina and thank you Rudy!
We are on vacation in Canada. Got our card in a box of mail and installed the EFS app on my iPhone. Although we filled with fuel in Thunder Bay, just before we got the card, the savings would have been nice. I'm posting with kudos for the EFS app. As we traveled today I could see all the stops on our route where the card was accepted and prices which appeared to be 10-25 cents/liter less expensive than what was posted at the stations.
We'll next fill in Sault Ste Marie, prob Michigan, and will update our findings.
A potential side benefit I wasn't aware of is that the card provides a $200 cash advance, presumably at the truck stop you use it at, and presumably billed to the bank account on file, to give you cash on the road.
I was under the understanding that you do not get a discount on the fuel in Canada. Am I wrong?
JohnH
Using the efs app and gasbuddy, it looks like eight cents a litre at Esso. Not too shabby.
Submitted my application today.
Roland
But randy I assume their small transaction would be added to the cash amount...
Used my card for the first time yesterday, went smooth as silk. $191 turned to $161 just like that
We downloaded the EFS CardControl app to the DW's iPad today. Just playing around with it at the house - we are not on the road at this time.
When the station locator map is displayed for our local area, it is having a hard time finding one of the 2 local Loves Travel Stops. The one on the south side of Odessa is shown properly, in the right physical location, and with the correct fuel price.
The one on the SW corner of Midland, however is not working correctly. The little "marker" icon shows the station is located in the center of town, instead of on the edge of town at the I-20 exit where it really is.
For those of you who are actually using the app while traveling - is the map function pretty reliable? Does it show the Loves truck stops where they really are located? Are the discount fuel prices correct (at Loves in particular, since that is where we plan to use the card 99% of the time)?
I've only used the card once, can't speak to the accuracy of the map or the EFS APP, I did use the Love's App with the TSD card downloaded in the wallet section, was able to access the pump and get it ready to pump from the comfort of the coach. The price in the file sent by Tara was accurate. Highly recommend the Love's reward card and APP, the detail records and receipt show on your phone for future reference, the price however is the pump price not the discounted price. The best part was an overall savings of $36.00 on my first use.
Received my card on Friday and had a chance to use it today in Boise at TA Truck Stop. Pumped 92.5 gallons and received a discount of $62.08. Unit price was $2.58
Feel as though I should send Rudy some of the savings for the great lead. Thanks Rudy
Greg
Pick mine up in morning at my mail box over border in Washington state. Nice to see you can get a discount here in BC
JohnH
Picked it up today and logged into website. Was checking some diesel stops close by here and an Esso station has diesel on at $1.349 a litre on Gas Buddy and the EFS sight quotes $1.129 a litre. That is a 22c a litre gap so for our gallon you save 96cents or US gallon 85 cents, crazy but good.
Who cares about air miles etc at that rate of savings.
Like all the others Thanks Rudy, it finally happened.
JohnH
Used it for the first time today and saved 34 cents per gallon....Thanks Rudy!!
Got my card this afternoon. Now to download the app and hope to use it as early as next week.
Thanks Rudy, what a find.
Larry
Got my card today too! Downloaded the App. Hope to fuel up next week. Thank you Rudy for the great info. Also the folks at customer service are fantastic.
Pat
I mentioned in a previous post that a $200/day cash advance was available with the card using the EFS app. There was a question about fees on the advance so I emailed Tara. Her reply:
"There is only a fee if you try to pull the cash advance off with out getting diesel and it is like 1.50. And yes advances are available anywhere the card is accepted and we will just take whatever you pull off out of your account"
Now this may not be a big deal but it adds a convenience we appreciate. Although we keep some cash on hand, over a multi-month trip we usually need to replenish. This will allow us to get cash while on the road without an extra stop. Tara explained the advance is widely used by their drivers.
Cottondale, Al. T/A
Cash Price was $2.859/gal
Card Price was $2.359/gal. Saved a little over $60 on our purchase.
Thanks Rudy....................

Not sure we would ever use this feature, but nice to know it is there for emergencies.
I assume you would go inside (the truck stop) to the fuel counter and have them run your card...then they give you the cash?
We have had a Discover card account since 1986. When we need cash we just use our Discover card when we check out on the "self checkout" scanner machine at any Walmart store anywhere in the country. It will let you have extra cash - I think up to $200 per day or something like that. There is no charge or fee for the cash advance. This has been our only "pocket cash" source for many years, since we do not have a local bank.
Never had a problem of any kind.
Chuck, doesn't your cash advance come from your credit card with a fee from the credit card's bank?
We also don't have a local bank. We take our visa/master Debit card into any bank teller (other than BOA) and get a no-fee cash advance without any limit that I know of.
We do it all across the country and for many years.
We never use our debit card for anything else. Just cash advances.
Nope - no fees and no extra charge. We just tell the machine (or the cashier) that we want some cash, and they give it to us. EASY!
Note: We
always pay off our credit card statements every month without fail, so we
never have to pay any interest.
Discover Cash Over - Get Cash Over Purchases | Discover Card (https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/member-benefits/cash-over-purchases.html)
Is that linked to your Fuel card or separate? If linked to the fuel card? How so?
No, sorry - it has nothing to do with the TSD/EFS card. I should not have even mentioned it. I just was offering a alternative to using the EFS card as a "cash advance" card, since that is not it's
primary purpose. My bad for derailing the thread. :-[
And my reason for posting about cash advance wasn't to suggest it be your primary banking resource, just a convenient, no fee (if you're already using the card for fuel) way to get cash when you're stopping otherwise to get fuel. Just another arrow in the quiver.
Received our card in the mail this morning and registered it and have the app up and running! Thanks again Rudy!
Quick answer Rudy, NO! Got my card today from Gina, registered it on phone and good to go! Thank you again! Just got an email from Tara and it looks like the deals are at Love's and not Pilot stations!
Definitely not Pilot/FJ
Here's a snapshot of the prices at Quartzsite today.
Loves is the lowest, with a 51 cent discount. Pilot is the highest, even after a 5 cent discount. Other stations are often listed, with no discount but mid range prices.
I like how the lowest price is shown in green on the map.
Here's a look closer to my home, with California highly-taxed prices.
Notice how Petro and TA also give good discounts. The card is also usable at other travel centers, Arci stations, and even some cardlock pumps, but with no discount.
In a pinch it would be good to be able to use cardlock pumps.
Used card for the first time today in Canada at an Esso Commercial Cardlock facility. EZ and only convenient stop on todays route.
Once you swipe the card is all you need to do is add your pin?
JohnH
That last post of mine was a question for anyone who has used the card. Is all you do after swiping/inserting the card punch in your pass code???
Thanks
JohnH
At my recent TA fuel stop in Boise it did not ask for a pin number.
Have not had a chance to use the card in the motorhome, but took one of the grain trucks by the local Loves since we're cutting a little bit of rice. It did ask for a PIN number. Worked very good. Saved 44 cents/gal. Dual purpose card. Win win for us.
Thanks for info and Rudy pmd me too
John
I used the Love's in Binghamton NY last week and could not get the card to work at the pump. Swiped inside and no problems. Will be back there tomorrow for a second use of the card.
Rich
Just got ours. Really painless, and very nice folks to deal with. Will be trying it out on Tuesday.
Dave. Going to miss you all in:-Utah in a week's time west of Moab. Was looking forward to seeing you all.
Will have to park by ourselves I guess . looks a touch warm around 100+ but nice
John
I'll be heading out in a couple of weeks for Motorcade Grandvention in Mineola Texas. Come meet us there.
Sorry to miss you too! We've never tried to hit Moab this early - usually in October. 100+ doesn't really sound nice for dry camping or hiking :-X .
Fueled today again at Love's in Binghamton, NY with no problems this time. Did not require a PIN.
A big thanks to Rudy!
Rich
Remember to use the EFS app. Lowest prices are shown in green on the map, and they are frequently stations other than Loves. TA is also low most of the time.
Maybe no discount, but the card also gives us access to cardlock pumps. That can come in really handy.
I'm currently planning my route to and from GrandVention, and was concerned about fuel along the blue roads. One look at the EFS told me not to worry.
Problem for us Canadians is we do not have a us phone any more and using roaming on ours is $12 a day. We will just pull into a loves when we need fuel and take what savings we can
JohnH
The program is great. Have filled up 2x already with over $60 in savings. Added the card to the Love's app and used it last night to pay via my phone. Set it up on the Flying J app, but haven't used that one yet.
If the Love's has both truck and RV pumps, is the furl card good at both or only the truck pumps?
I read on the facebook page they are only good at truck lanes
I'm having way too much fun midway between RV trips.
Two weeks to go before heading out for GV, and I've loaded rvtripwizard with my current fuel level, thanks to VmsPC, planned all my campgrounds on the way, and now planned my fuel stops.
Rvtripwizard tells me remaining fuel at each stop, and I've planned fuel stops based on that and fuel prices thanks to the efs app. Where prices are high, I'll add enough to arrive with half a tank where prices are low. Where prices are low, fill 'we up. On my way home, I'll get a fill up before crossing the Calif state line, and finally top it off at the last Love's before home.
My planned trip shows how many gallons I'll have upon arrival at each fuel stop and how many I will add.
This is really cool, integrating rvtripwizard with VmsPC and the efs fuel app.
Almost as much fun as getting out in the coach.
Makes sense. It after all a fleet diesel card.
I've used the card twice since Saturday, no activity in my checking account yet, due to the holiday, I'm sure.
Same here Jeff. No activity in the checking account yet. The app is showing me what will be charged to my account and how much I saved.
I joined the TSD Logistics RV fuel program FaceBook group. They have a great FAQ as a pinned announcement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: We will add more as they develop.
-Where does your card work? Answer: All all major truck stops including but not limited to Loves, Pilot, Flying J, TA, Petro.
-Does the card work in Canada? Answer: Yes, however, our discounts are not a good in Canada as they are in the States.
-Do you have to have a US Bank account? Answer: Yes.
-Can you tie the card to a credit card? Answer: No. We can only ACH from a bank account.
-Why do you need my Social Security Number? Answer: We do not do a credit check. We ask for your social security number in the event that we cannot collect a payment, we need this number to file a claim.
-Does the card work for gas? Answer: Not likely. You have to use the commercial carrier lanes at the stores and most stores do not offer gasoline in those lanes.
-Is there a set amount of discount per gallon? Answer: No. Our discounts vary by chain and store. The more gallons our company as a whole purchases at both the bigger the discounts.
-Can you purchase DEF with the card? Answer: Yes, however there may be little to no discount on the DEF portion of the purchase.
-What is the $200 cash advance on my card? Answer: You may get up to $200 per week (Mon-Sun) in the store as a cash advance. If you fill up first you can go in and get it for free. If not there is a fee usually $1.50. If you want this removed just contact TSD. This allows you while you are traveling not to have to pay ATM fees if you need cash.
-Is there a referral program? Yes, if a new applicant puts you down when they apply you will receive a credit toward your Fuel of $25 after they purchase 100 gallons and another $25 credit after they purchase 500 gallons.
-How long from the time I receive my statement, is it drafted from my account? Answer: 1-2 business days
-How do I know how much savings I received if it does not show at the pump? Answer: You have multiple ways to know how much per gallon you are paying. You can receive an email each day with the price per gallon you will pay at each location. You can download the EFS Card Control App which will send you a receipt after you fuel with the correct amount. You will also receive a statement the next business day after you fuel that will show your gallons purchased, the discount, our fee and the amount that will be drafted from your account
-What is the daily gallon limit on cards? Answer: 950 gallons per day
-Who can apply? Answer: Anyone who purchases diesel-Truck, RVs, buses.
-How can I apply? Answer: go to Fuel Card Application - RV | TSD Logistics - Freight Services for Bulk Shippers (https://www.tsdlogistics.com/fuel-card-application-rv/)
and apply directly online.
Tara posted this on both the TSD website and the FB group.
It shows clearly that Loves's has the lowest prices day-by-day. TA/Petro is a close second. For FJ/Pilot, you'd likely do better with their discount card and a credit card with rebate.
My next task is to find which stations pump pure diesel or B5. Love's website shows some stations are pumping pure diesel, some B5, some B10, some B15, and some B19 (they promise less than 20% biodiesel). I intend to avoid large fill-ups of higher percentage biodiesel. The first time I filled up an nearly empty tank with unlabeled B20, it cost me two fuel filter changes to get back to normal.
Filled up today in Houston, BC at a PetroCanada card lock station using the EFS card. Doesn't look like I'll get a discount but the card did work.
Used the new card at a TA stop in Connecticut and saved $53.00 sure was nice thanks to all that helped set this up Jim Busby
Agree Tom. The TSD FB page is great. Although. I do wish the new RV'rs that are signing up would not pester them with multitudinous "are we there yet?" and "where am I in the Que?" questions. Folks have gotten along before this opportunity came up. Be patient, We can wait a few more weeks.
Works! Great savings.
Still havnt seen my emails... been over a week so far.. will need to call them monday.
Has anything been debited from your checking account?
Did they draw from the wrong account? Bank error? Not sure what you are asking.
I saw on the online app that when they call to finalize your account. The customer is to decide if they provide their Checking or Savings account number. So it should be up to you where the funds come from.
I have not used the card yet.. just activated it.. no other debits to test the account either. I gave the checking account # early in registration
Did everybody get this yesterday?

Tara Rape
Yes. I got Tara's email. No more daily emails.
The web link is great, all the excel and pdf files are there to upload, updated on a daily basis.
I also got the same email from Tara. Works fine .
Just looked at the loves prices today on the website and the list shows all stations giving 5c off retail. Is this correct. If so what happened?
JohnH
Just looked at the Loves PDF for the 10th (tomorrow). I think they didn't format correctly. If you scroll down you will see a field in bold for "best discounted rate" which looks like the usual discount for the respective location. The challenge is lining it up to see which price goes to which location.
Dave
I use the pdf format and the prices are still screwed. Lots of extra columns that mean nothing to me but each station still shows 5c off
Ok, what is going wrong
Johnh
EFS app shows the discounts on the map for fuel. Sounds like the PDF is a little wonky. Try the app
I will not be going anywhere for a bit.. if someone goes by a loves and actually goes inside can you get me a reward card and send a pic of it front and back? Closest one to me is 15 miles or so. Would appreciate it. I want to add it to the app. Let me know and I will pm my email
Thanks
The efs app is correct and tells all I need. Both the spreadsheet and pdf are overloaded with useless columns.
I emailed Joy the financial officer and she fixed the PDF and asked me to now try it and all is back to normal
John h
Forewheelers filled this request.. much appreciated .. Thanks again.
I used my card for the first time yesterday. It went well. I should have saved .45/gal on 75 gallons. I can't verify as yet, I haven't seen any emails. I talked to Tara yesterday, she was supposed to send me the email with the password, nothing yet. Will see what the day brings.
Larry
Filled up yesterday at TA in Missoula, MT. 125 gallons, pump price was $2.959, our price was $2.593 saving us $38.36!
Thanks Rudy.
It would be nice to also list what the going rate for fuel is in the area such as gas buddy. As stated before a lot of the truck stops fuel prices are way over the fuel prices in the area. Example, at a truck stop on I45 in Willis, Texas over Labor day weekend, their gas prices was right in line with all of the other stations for gas in the area but the diesel was way more then the regular station that was just across the freeway.
The places I have looked at Gas Buddy and checked the EFS card prices.. EFS wins hands down. Thhen you add .. ease of access .. faster fill and you have a win win all around.. even at a straight savings its worth the added benefits.
Thought I would provide some information re: the Diesel Fuel Program. In Oregon you will be charged the P.U.C tax (currently 38 cents a gal.) on top of the price indicated on the EFS app. What it basically does is bring it back up close to the listed cash price on the sign out front. I was not at a Loves but a different truck stop that showed up on the app. Loves was back towards Boise and we were headed south on 395. I called Tara about this and she took the information from me. I also asked her about a control number the pump reader asked for. She said that you need to use the last four digits of your Social Security number if ever asked this. Apparently another Oregon trait. With the approx. 20.00 fee from EFS this would add another fee on top of the price so I think the savings would have been 2 cents a gal. Something to think about in Oregon. Not sure what Loves would have been but assume the same tax would be added on. Thanks again to Rudy for his efforts. I'm sure I will save a bunch at the next Loves on my way south especially in Nevada and Ca.
John and Linda Leach Fulltimers 2008 Nimbus 340 SE Foretravel.
Guess I won't be buying any fuel in Oregon.
Do not buy propane without checking with Tara to make sure card has been set for propane. I used it at Loves but it said not authorized for propane.
I bought fuel in Oregon and did not have any add on that I saw. I filled up at loves too.
JohnH
Plus I do not have a us social security number as I am Canadian
Fueled up today at Loves in Cedar City - it was my first time using the card and it was an easy process.
Pat
John, if you check the price on the sign out front and then what you were paying at the pump, you would have seen the adjusted price. We found that out in 2001 when in Oregon. Only trucks with Oregon companies pay the listed price on the sign, according to the fuel stops we were at in that state! At least that is what I remember from way back then! lol
Got my statement yesterday. Fuel went from $2.79 to $2.41 after paying the fee. My savings $25.86. Yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Rudy.
Larry
Joe, not sure what you are answering too as what I was trying to say that the listed price on the sign was $3.179 and what I paid after the commision for the card was $2.378. There was no taxes extra added on as mentioned in post previous that brought the real cost up to within 2c a gallon cheaper.
JohnH
Driving through Oregon, I noticed truck stop signs advertising three priced for diesel, cash, credit, and an unbelievable tax less cash price. Obviously the tax less price doesn't apply to RVers. But that was the price used as cash on the fuel card spreadsheet. I'm not surprised it was too good to be true, but after the tax is applied, still the best diesel price in town.
Ok, back to my posting. The posted price on EFS was 2.22 in Ontario Oregon when I pumped it. I put in 65 gallons and was finally debited at $ 2.378 a gallon which included the fee of 5.60 approx which would add on about 8.5c to the 2.22 making it around $2 .3+ a gallon. This makes any added tax around 7c which is still a hell of a lot less than posted cash price in my books
JohnH
Someone at TSD deserves a big raise and all our thanks. TSD was researching ways to get the kind of dues discount the big trucking companies get, and someone found a way to make TSD look really big. Now we all benefit.
And this program is not limited to RVs. A friend asked, and they welcome other trucking companies. My friend is referring someone with a small trucking company with a $1000 a day fuel bill, who was only getting a nickel a gallon discount from FJ.
Id use them but For the Company I would need billing every month not the next day.. Helps me keep track of the trucks use when its 1 time bill.
I have 8 diesel trucks we fill up just about everyday. So billing can get nutty with a daily debit
Used my card for the first time yesterday at a Love's in Iowa. Received my email statement today. Saved $35.00 and change on 88 gallons. Simple and awesome.
Thanks Rudy and Thanks EFS.
My first time. Will see what price I got.
Not as fast nor as smooth as expected.
Love's app says B15. Pump says B20.
Paying with the app timed out before I could start pumping. Used the card at the pump, ok but too many questions.
Bobtail truck in front of me was in no hurry, took 20 minutes cleaning his 5th wheel hitch plate with the window washing squeegee, then laying paper towels on it. I thought the pulled ahead truck in front of him would never leave. When bobtail finally finishes pumping, he disappears for 10 minutes. Maybe looking for more cleaning supplies.
And the pump was slow for being on a truck lane.
By the time I finished, I had one DP and two big rigs behind me.
Ok. Love's price is $3.949. I paid $135 for 40 gallons, $3.375.
50 gallons is enough to get me out of Calif taxes and biodiesel. Next stop, fill er up in Kingman.
Wow...I just saved over $.75 per gallon when I filled up at Loves in OR. The pump price was $3.249 and I paid $2.4976 per gallon. I wanted to be sure I had a full tank before entering CA.
Thank you Rudy!
Wait for the emailed invoice. I suspect you'll find some tax added in. But still a great price.
As per my post 239 I did not pay any extra taxes on my fill up at Ontario ORegon loves stop
JohnH
Could be, my iPhone app showed an amount and it figured out to $2.4976. I will wait to see tomorrow what comes out of my bank account.
Tom, how do you pay for fuel with your app? Don't you just swipe your EFS card?
Richard, all I've done is swipe the card. I've used it twice filling up grain trucks. Once it asked for a PIN number, once it didn't.
You can pay from the Love's app after first loading your efs card into it. I'll try again tomorrow in Kingman. I was too slow getting my driver side fuel bay unlocked yesterday, so just used the card at the pump.
Just got back from a round trip from Midland to Austin and back. Used our EFS card for the first time at Love's Travel Stop south side Odessa.
Since I wanted to maximize my savings with the card, I stretched my driving distance further than I normally would. I have always told people that our coach would do 800 miles between fuel stops (with some reserve), but never before have I actually tried to prove that fact. Well, this time I did. We pulled into Love's with 801 miles showing on the trip counter - my rear end was a little tight towards the end of the drive. We were pulling our new Bolt on our tow dolly, plus we ran the generator the whole trip (and both air conditioners) plus this was mostly secondary highways and lots of stop and go. In other words, a worst case scenario for getting good fuel mileage. I was expecting the generator to cut out any time, but it never did.
I always fill our 148 gallon tank to just below the fuel filler neck, so I am giving away some tank volume to start out with. I pumped 113.85 gallons into the tank - a all-time high for me. That calculates to 7.09 miles per gallon, which I think is pretty good under the circumstances. I DO NOT plan to repeat this exercise again, if I can help it. We usually refuel after 400-500 miles of driving, because I try to keep the tank above half full.
Filled up yesterday afternoon (9-18), got my email receipts this morning (9-19), it says they will debit my account Monday (9-23).
Total price displayed at the pump was $335.70 for 113.85 = $2.95/gal
EFS discount price was $297.92 for 113.85 = $2.62/gal. Saved 33 cents/gal - not as much as some discounts I have been reading here :'(
My cost including EFS fee to be debited: $301.70
Still a VERY worthwhile savings! THANKS RUDY!!!
Just used the Love's app in Kingman. Saved almost $50 on just under 80 gallons. Real diesel! Not bio.
Thanks again TSD and Rudy
Tom - you were correct, after their fee I saved over $.67 per gallon which still is great!
To be precise, your savings are not all that great. Granted it is huge at LOVES or some of the other truck stops but they are far higher pump prices than an independent. For example I filled up at Circle K where I live for 2.64 and down the street is a Petro that advertises 3.25/gal. With the EFS discount it comes to 2.74.
Not knocking a discount but we're still paying market price for diesel.
Sounds pretty simple to me. Swipe card, fuel, leave!
True, when you are local and know where to go and know you will fit then the EFS card is not a big deal. When I am back in CA I go to the local Costco and use my 5% fuel discount credit card and it is much cheaper than the EFS card. BUT, when I am out of my area the EFS card's convenience is a winner for just pulling off the highway and getting back on and not worrying about fitting in the fuel station.
And if you're towing 4 down knowing that you can fit without having to unhook and back out is priceless.
My card came last Friday, problem is I left on Thursday to Broken Arrow, Wichita, Denver, and will go back to Wichita and then Texas. Then I will put the card in my coach "LOL"
Ask for your efs number and loss it into the Love's app. You don't need a physical card.
Thanks I will call and get the number. is the Android app in the Play Store?
.
It should be. The iPhone app is.
Oh so it is the EFS app not loves?
My bad. Loves app for payment.
EFS app for pricing.
Oh, OK guess I can use both of them though ^.^d
Received my card today.
Roland
You can say that again !!
I'm still waiting to use my card for the first time.....coming home from a month at a local lake i checked my local Loves to find the discounted price was $2.92 (Ina, IL), down the road at Wally (Benton, IL) $2.89.....guess where i fueled?
Ralph

I don't know what the others may do but after twice buying bad fuel from local stores and decided to only buy from volume truck stops. I am thankful for Rudy's help thanks Jim
Check this out:
RV Fuel Discounts | FMCA (https://www.fmca.com/rv-fuel-discounts)
Is this the exact same thing?
Looks similar but not the same.
I also enjoy not having to go inside to fuel up. I can get back on the road faster. I prefer truck stops for ease of access and fresh fuel. I'm willing to pay for this convenience. We saved $200 with the card on this trip, getting fuel where we always go anyway. It's a big win for us.
TCS might be good to have in addition to TSD.
FUEL DISCOUNTS – TCS Fuel Card users can save an average of $0.34 per gallon on diesel fuel at in-network locations (savings can range between $0.05 and $0.70 per gallon)
If this is true, there is no comparison. Maybe better after I join.
I like how the price locator works in the EFS app. Filled up at Maverik in Post Falls today near a higher-priced Love's using my 5% fuel discount credit card.
We just finished a quick trip to Utah and Colorado and now have all my reeipts and charges from EFS. On $989.00 cost at pump compared to my billed cost which including the service charge of $848.00, this gives me an overall saving if $141.00 or 14%. Not too shabby at all.
Seems to work fine for me as it makes the exchange between can $ and us $ now only 19% instead of 34%
JohnH
Has anyone experienced a skimming or fraudulent/contested charge to your account via this fuel discount card? Does anyone know how the resolution process would work? My credit card company (Costco Citibank) seems pretty good at catching suspect charges and notifying us but I do not know how this company's security monitoring and notification process work.
I would say give them a call and find out... let us know what they say?
What is the turn around time to hear back for this. I applied last week I think or more... haven't heard back yet.
Hi, it took me about 10 days or more to get the callback and then another 10 days or more to get the card.
PB
It all depends on how you submitted your application. I think most of those who had very quick turnaround paid the upfront "speedy process fee" (I forgot how much they charged for rapid processing). With normal processing, you go into the queue with everyone else. It takes up to a week or two to get processed. This was back when they were inundated with many, many new applications; I don't know what their backlog is now.
Be patient; you should get your phone call soon, and your EFS card soon after that.
Trent
Oh yeah I forgot about that speedy processing fee I didn't pay...
Got to use our new fuel card yesterday at a Love's in Virginia. Fuel price was $2.95 and we paid $2.43! Thank you Rudy for your info on putting us on to this great deal and TDS for offering these great savings.
Love the fact that you can swipe the card at the pump and fill. I did come into the store and pickup my receipt, but it was already in the box for us and we were in and out in minutes, not that I'm in that big of a hurry! lol
We tried to use our card a few days ago, but Amy is having trouble finding nearby stations on the app. We were traveling from Mass. through Conn. on our way to NJ.
We filled up at a regular gas station, and will be heading to Virginia and Indiana.
How can I help her locate Love's or other truck stops, so we can use the card??
Thanks
Glenn,
I like using the app on my phone to find locations. It is pretty easy and you can also use it for a route.
To use it after starting the EFS Card app, press the lines up in the left top corner and select Price Locator on the next page. The prices for the area around you will come up, then. (the green one is the lowest)
Hope this helps!
Glen
Glenn to Glen......Thanks
We haven't used the EFS app much, but the listing of truck stops in our local area has me wondering about how often it is updated. We have two Love's travel centers nearby - one in Odessa (#339) and one in Midland (#623). Using the EFS app on either our iPad or my iPhone, the map only shows the Loves in Odessa. The Midland location
is included in the written list of stations, but
not on the map.
Another excellent resource for easily locating truck stops (and MUCH more) is the offerings from Allstays. Some are free - some are subscription. We use their informative maps on every trip. You can filter the maps for anything you are interested in, like for instance Loves travel stops. I highly recommend their website, and the (paid) Pro subscription. I believe the person who did the work to produce this tremendously helpful program should be compensated. But that's just me...
Allstays | Campgrounds | RV Parks (https://www.allstays.com)
OK....
we need to determine WHERE the stations are along our route. When we press the green icon, it gives an address, but then we would have to enter that info into Google maps??!!
I think we are missing something.
You are missing GasBuddy app.
You click the circle with the arrow. It will show you current location. Then you add where you are going and it will show you the gas stations on your route. Make sure you enable route search.
Or you download the Love's app and it can locate stores on your route.
Mike
We have Gas Buddy
Is there a way to integrate with EFS?
How do you sign up for the daily mail list?
I have noticed something odd on the price map. Close to where I store my coach there are 2 Love's and one TA with in 2 miles of each other on I-35 just north of Denton, TX. Yesterday the only on with a price in the indicator on the map was TA, I checked again this morning and the Loves 2 miles north showed a price in its indicator too. The other loves has a indicator where the station is but it is blank but up the road across from the other Love's is the price indicator for the other Loves 2 miles to the south.
So dont always count on the bubble indicators to be in the correct spot
They are no longer sending daily prices via email. You can use their website or efs app. I prefer the app.
Glenn, Just look for Loves. With AllStays you can set a filter for Loves.
There is only one Loves in MN and it is not close.
The Loves app works great, and it's map shows all Loves in a region or along your route.
Is that the Loves connect app?
Yes. Loves Connect
Fueled up today at Love's and saved $49.03. Also weighed the coach. It weighed 35,480.
Mike
Just to say Thank You---Rudy !
Used the Fuel Discount Card first time.
Regards to all of the Foretravel Forum Family.
I see that TSD logistics has negotiated discounts at Pilot/Flying J. Not sure of the total discount though.
Added the Pilot app to the iPhone add linked up the EFS card to it.
One thing that I like about the pilot app is that it shows the Bio fuel content of a particular fuel stop. ^.^d
On my recent trip to NM & Colorado, I saved over $80 on the 3 times I used it to fuel up. One of those times, In Oakley,Ks, the stop was listed on the locator as a Love's, it was actually a TA. It still gave me a discount of $26. Aftter this trip, I really appreciate all the savings I can get.
Larry
The Loves app also shows the bio blend. Just takes more snooping to find it.
The Pilot discount is real puny at only 10 cents, TA/Petroleum at about 40 cents and Loves at about 50 cents
I guess I haven't been snooping in the right location. I'll dig around a little more.
Found it. Guess if it doesn't say B-whatever % then I guess it means B-0? Be nice if it had the B content as 0 and up, So one could be sure it wasn't just left off the info on one particular stores info.
We just finished a trip of almost 3,200 miles. The card worked great at all stops. The app was also a big plus in finding the fuel at an easy access station. We stopped at Love's for all of our 5 fuel stops. We used 434 gallons at an average cost of $2.58/gal and a savings of $165.87. I hope this lasts. It is a great travel tool that simplifies fueling.
Glen
Rudy, thanks for this!
In one of your first posts I remember you saying that you limited the amount spent to $800 a day. I called TSD today and they said they couldn't put a limit on spending and suggested I call the bank. Is your limit through TSD or the bank?
The important thing is not being cut off at the pump. No limit is a good thing for me.
I have not established a limit with anyone. But I do have a code on my card so no one other than myself can use the card. Most cards have a specific code to that card
Anybody have a sense of the time frame for submitting the online form until contact and receipt of the card? We leave So Cal on January 15th, is it unrealistic to expect receipt of the card before we leave?
Don
BTW, I said I would pay for the expedited processing, but when I submitted the form the message was that I could expect to receive a call to confirm my application in 14 to 20 days. If so what is the point of the $20 expediting fee?
Don
I never received the confirmation call and submitted in Nov.
I had signed up back in September and it took a little over a few weeks for them to call me. I would guess that word getting around has them probably swamped. I would call them to check status.
Please do call them. Seems too long a time to me. There have now been over 8000 signups. They have hired additional ladies to help with the flood of applications. Bet you get good help if you alert them to the delay.
Don yes call them as I did not get any calls till I called then it was just a few days till it arrived, and as you know we live in another country!!!
JohnH
I believe mine took about 3 weeks to receive. I didn't call since I wasn't under a time crunch. However as friendly and helpful as they have been if you explained that your travel schedule is approaching, they might be able to help expedite it through. Hopefully they will as this has been a real money saver the times that I have used it. Thanks again to Rudy.
Safe travels Don,
Larry
I believe you can pay extra to expedite if you are in a hurry.
Hopefully I am placing this information in the right area. It is about fuel saving recommendations for truckers. Which we are in a way.
FreightWaves
Top 10 ways to lower diesel fuel expenses for trucking companies
Craig Fuller, CEO at FreightWaves Craig Fuller, CEO at FreightWaves
8 hours ago
Fuel is the number two expense for every trucking company and one of the most volatile. Over the years, trucking companies have implemented various strategies to lower and control their fuel expenses.
In recent years, carriers have found ways to mitigate and offset their fuel expenses. These are the top 10 methods trucking fleets use to lower their diesel expenses:
Driver Behavior and Practices
Reducing top-end speed and unnecessary idle time
Adopting of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) on tractors
Implementing driver behavior coaching and incentive programs
Encouraging the use of cruise control
Providing driver incentive programs to reward best practices
Power Equipment
Using lower viscosity engine oils
Keeping equipment maintained, including tire pressure and rotation frequency and position
Running 6 X 2 drive axles where permitted
Adopting the aerodynamic equipment including wheel covers, gap reducers
Trailing Equipment
Installing lift axles on trailers to reduce rolling resistance
Adopting the latest aerodynamic equipment including side skirts and trailer wings
Equipment Specifications
Matching truck specification with the area of operation
Purchasing the latest fuel-efficient truck design
Install high efficient alternators
Installing the very latest in safety technology to minimize rapid decelerations and inconsistent speeds
Fuel Purchasing
Implementing a fuel-surcharge program
Buying fuel on wholesale rack index-linked contract
Negotiating discounts at truck stops or join a buying program
Trip Planning
Pre-plan trips for drivers to optimize for:
Best price
Out of route miles; and
What point on the route to fuel
Buying fuel in locations with lower taxes
Identifying the optimal time to fuel trucks at truckstops so that idling is minimized
Implementing a route-line fuel optimization solution
Planning trip start/end times to avoid areas of high traffic congestion
Customers
Working with shippers to decrease driver wait times to load and unload since delays of two hours or more results in drivers driving 3.5 mph faster decreasing fuel consumption in the process
Business Intelligence
Implementing SONAR's forecasted overnight change in ULSD- new to the market is a product that we developed at SONAR that provides a look forward of wholesale rack prices, giving fleets visibility on where diesel prices are forecasted to head, with 90% accuracy and down to the rack level. This solution, exclusively offered through SONAR, enables fleets to time their diesel purchases based on the expected change in diesel prices at the wholesale rack.
The reason this works is that diesel prices at the wholesale rack are linked to trading activity that happens on the CME futures exchange and the time it takes for the prices to change by wholesalers. Wholesalers adjust their prices after trading activity is closed, allowing for SONAR to project where prices are to be the following day. Effectively, SONAR clients get to "arb" the diesel market.
Corporate Culture
Successful carriers and independent contractors understand that one of the easiest paths to profitability is not spending money. Fuel, for many carriers, is the second-largest variable expense. Educating drivers and non-drivers on the importance of fuel economy to the sustainability of the business should be a primary objective.
Provide incentives to improve fuel economy. A growing trend among carriers is the implementation of 'Driver Scorecards' to compare behavior and results to desired benchmarks. Utilizing MPG in these scorecards provide a direct feedback loop for drivers to understand how they are performing versus the rest of the fleet. Some carriers have went further and have provided financial incentives for achieving above average MPG, relative to their peers, under similar conditions.
Weather
Adoption of the latest weather forecasting technology such as SONAR's Critical Event Center that overlays extreme weather events on major interstates and freight markets.
Integration of critical event data such as road surface conditions and ambient temperatures into route planning and navigation software to minimize driver delays to meet delivery and pick-up windows.

As announced yesterday, January 19, Forecasted Overnight ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) change and ULSD next-day price are now on available on the SONAR platform and free to current SONAR subscribers through Valentine's Day. If you are interested in learning more about SONAR or the new Forecasted Overnight ULSD data-set, click here.

Love TSD... THANKS AGAIN TO WHO LET US KNOW ABOUT IT ,
Found this article Good Sam tells Pilot/Flying J to end big diesel discounts to RVers - RV Travel (https://www.rvtravel.com/diesel-938/)
We use Loves exclusively. Life time Good Sam's from years ago, before Profit... TSD eaiser, card..pump fuel, drive away...nice.
Does anybody have a current link for the application? The link initially provided no longer works. The link that is provided by the "broken" page puts me to a very crude application form that doesn't have the "feel" of a real form but rather feels like a scam form. Before submitting a form containing not only my Social Security number but my bank account number, I thought I'd verify the link.
Thanks

TSD has a great discount program but apparently no longer with Pilot/Flying J
Good Sam tells Pilot/Flying J to end big diesel discounts to RVers -https://www.rvtravel.com/diesel-938/
"The folks at the TSD program weren't aware of this arrangement until they got a call from Pilot's management. The discount program that TSD had with Pilot for about four months or so is suddenly being canceled. Pilot has to honor its agreement with Good Sam"
Anyone having an issue with the EFS app?
Can't get the pricing for listings.
Thanks
Try this:
Tap top left 3 bars
Tap price locator
Tap the "wheel" at far left for settings
Set search range to 25 miles
set route search range to 10 miles
Any improvement?
TSD is developing thier own app to replace the EFS app. Might take a while to be released.
Search along a route also works. Just reduce point search radius to 25 miles and it works.
What's the latest on the fuel card? Going up I15 to Wyoming from Las Vegas next week . Best results(discounts?)
Bought fuel at 3 different TA's on our way to Colorado. Paid $1.64/gallon in Greenwood, LA. $1.75 in Amarillo. And $1.85 in Walsenburg, CO.
TA appears to have the best price right now but check the app or website.
I've mostly used loves but have been also to a TA. No issues using the card.
It's been awhile since I have used the card and when I look at the app, what happened to our great discounts? Seems they have all but disappeared. Will need to fill up when we leave Yellowstone and I only see a few cents savings going toward Rapid City! Anyone else see this?
Thanks, Joe
Look for TA locations and they offer the best discounts.
Been using TA/Petro they are currently offering the best discounts couple days ago posted was 2.45 net was 1.91
I got an email about the new TSD Open Roads mobile app yesterday. Replied to the email and awaiting an invite to download the new app. The email says they are limiting registration to 500 each day to prevent the website from crashing. Anyone else get the same? if so, how is the new app?
I got the notificationit yesterday, but won't be able to get the app until the end of the month. Android is last. IOS is what they are doing now!
Thanks Oscar! I really like using the Loves for the cleanliness of their sites! Oh well! Got to save those dollars!
I downloaded the iOS app but it says that I have to wait for an invitation. Is this normal?
Thanks, Pierce
Got it and replied.
I just got back from about 2,300 miles and saved some bucks with the app. I would never have happened on to the places where the price was the best. Searching along the route is a great feature. I hope the new app works as well as this one does.
At one place the card didn't work at the pump but I had no trouble using it inside.
I believe so. I got the email notification which had a link. Clicking the link led to their website that advised to wait for the invitation. They are trying to throttle it down to 500 a day in order to not be overwhelmed. I was hoping someone had gotten it installed.
I am on the list for a call back also.
Why do you need the TDS app? EFS works just fine. Or am I missing something?
TSD is where I get locations and current and discount info
EFS is where I get it. And I don't have to get a new app by invitation.
From what I understand, the EFS was for professional truckers and they built the TSD for the RV community. They both work and have some apparently minor differences.
They seem to be a little overwhelmed with all the RV additions. I hesitate to say this but the members on this forum seem to be more able to work the card and system because they are seasoned RVers. The TSD site is plagued with basic questions and problems that have not been seen here. I think this is a problem caused by all the new entries to the RV world. You know, everyone started new once but, I don't think this many new folks have ever entered the system at one time.
glen
TSD is a logistics company who uses WEX Inc to manage their fuel purchases using WEXs EFS fuel card.
My assumption is that TSD gets volume discounts on their fuel purchases so the more fuel they purchase the cheaper it gets. Inviting RVers to become basically contractors using their account increases their fuel purchases which gains them better discounts. Looks like a win-win deal for both us and them.
At least that is how I see it.
Steve
So far this year I've purchased 875 gallons of diesel at an average cost of $1.79 per gallon. Mostly in Texas and all at TA/Petro locations.
I'm happy with that.
Steve
No reason to not try the new app. It's not hard to delete it if it isn't substantially better than the EFS app.
I'm still waiting for app invitation since 9-8 20. Should I have received by now.? Was going to run down to Kingman for fuel today And would like to know who to shop at.
Scott
T/A Kingman today.......tsd price $1.898 pump price $2.669
Is there a current link for application and contact info. The ones I saw are not operational.
Did you try this one,it should work

And also the FMCA fuel card
Tom mudflap looks interesting. Have you used it?
We saved $62 this morning on 95 gllons of fuel at T/A Beto Junction, KS. Thanks, Rudy
Not yet. I plan to keep it ready until needed. TSD still has the best discounts
You guys are killing me with the out of state costs. Fueled yesterday at the TA in Livingston Ca. on Hwy 99. Pump $3.87 TDS $3.43. Pumped 107 gals. I'll take it. Further it's a piece of cake. Everything can be done from the pump, including the $200 ATM function. ( Have to go inside to get the cash ).
3.43 ouch
Yikes!
If I have to pass through Cali, I just put in the minimum fuel. The fill up out of state. We fill up at the bottom of Oregon, and can make it all the way to Arizona.
Chris
We avoid The Golden State entirely whenever possible. Saves taking a beating to our suspension. We go east out of Oregon and drop south through Nevada. Not as scenic, but better roads (and cheaper fuel).
That would be a nice ride. Normally it's winter, so not much choice. We do come home through Vegas and Montana, would love to go down the way it's actually shorter on 15, but the passes are impossible that time of year..
Cheers
Used new card today for first time. $3.23 at pump $2.72 with discount. Saved just under $50 on 98 gallon top off in South Carolina off I-95. Impressed. DW promptly spent twice that at Walmart. Oh well, easy come easy go
Yes, it's great, first time we got 50cent a gallon off, and at the cheapest truck stop (a Petro) crossing through Arkansas, which brought our diesel down to $3.19 a gallon.
This is our first 50 cent a gallon, normally it has been 30 to 40 cent off.
On that fill of 99.5 gallons it made a huge difference.
The next cheapest place going west was "guess", yes, Nacogdoches, where we are getting a few small things done at MOT, time to make the Javalina gauges obsolete, and despite the Trick-L-Charge a new set of batteries (forget the red tops, had nothing but trouble),
Keith is our tech today.
Then we are off to Waco for the DW to see Chip and Joanna's silos, followed with Austin at Lake Travis and on down to San Antonio before heading back to Ohio for the Winter!
We have had the fuel card from the start and have never had a bother, best thing we got for the RV (thanks Rudy 😊)
WAIT!
I think you are heading the wrong way this time of year!
But, maybe I am turned around......
When you go to the Silo's just don't look at the price tags, You may faint. But it is a nice experience, their restaurant (Magnolia Kitchen) was good and reasonably priced.
And I'm with Brett. You came south to swelter in humidity then back north to freeze your tail feathers?????
Are these card good it Canada
Hey Bigdog, we will be passing through Waco in our travels to and from FOT in the next few weeks.. anywhere to park a MH and toad near the area. Would be nice to go there while passing thru rather than spend a day traveling over there and back from FOT while we wait for our repairs...
We camped at midway park campground, run by the Army Corps of Engineers at Waco Lake. Very nice and just on the edge of town.
Old Guy. If you are referring to the TSD card there are no discounts in Canada. The best you can do is a Good Sam discount at the J
Thanks
There is a nice COE park (Jim Hogg) next to Georgetown, about an hour away from Waco. There is also a Texas Ranger Museum in Waco. We got our pictures taken with Chip and Joanna (cardboard cutouts) at the Visitors Center. If you want a cupcake at the bakery, good luck. Waco was a fun visit, there is more than C&J there.
Are you looking for a place to park why you are at the silos for short stop. If so you can park on one of the streets to the west of the area. Near Dr. Pepper and walking distance between the two if I am not mistaken.
Thanks for parking suggestions for the silos... we will try and check it out.. if not.. we'll I'm sure we'll be heading to Texas again in the not ti distant future and we could actually make a plan for it then ...
Trying to get in touch with TDS to discuss possibility of getting a discount fuel card that many have.. Contacts off of Rudy's original post 2 years ago are 903 831 8944........ 903 831 8941..... 903 831 8906.. I've attempted a dozen times beginning this morning and unable to get answered. Can get thru to the operator and she rings but still no answer for a left message.. I understand people being busy but is there a contact I don't have that would actually reach someone to answer my few questions. A bit concerned if I do use this program concerning reaching someone while at a fuel pump and having a potential problem.
Current contact number on the TSD Logistics (which is what I think you mean) website is 800-426-7110

That's what I mean Elliot. I got an opportunity to leave another message but since I'm still waiting on an answer from messages left this morning. I'm ok with Facebook and email but my initial contact, I prefer talking with someone. Will see.
I owned a trucking/Logistics company for 20 plus year so I understand the phone circle event but...
Fifty years ago I had improper phone etiquette explained to me and why the phone communications were so important because most of the time the only contact a customer had was with a company rep over the phone.
This was done by the following example:
Call Sears and ask for the hardware department. Then get in your car and drive to Sears and answer your phone call.
Guess what? Sears is gone!
I would think companies would realize what is happening to their image when their customers are treated poorly.
Guess they no longer care. Shame.your
I can get a lady at the office to figure it out. She has less time but much more patience. Logistics is a tuff business, I nearly worked myself to an early wake at the job.
Problem solved and moving forward.
Has anyone used "Getupside"?
I just heard about it yesterday
How Does GetUpside Work? GetUpside Review & Full Breakdown (https://therideshareguy.com/getupside-reviews/)
Last Fall used my efs card at loves and ta. No problem.
Looking for app now and theres wex, efs, tsd and open road.
Which one(s) do I need? Separate logins and passwords for each?
Don't rock the boat, just ignore the apps?

We use open roads. I believe it is the most recent App.
I have been using the old EFS app with no issues. Received this email today from open roads.
Just set up an account on Open Roads app. Tells me fuel prices in the area. Now hope my efs card still works.
Yeah it was a .60c price difference on the app vs what I was charged today!
The TSD card is an EFS card. It should work without discount everywhere EFS works. I use both the EFS and TSD (open roads) apps. The EFS app lets me filter out gas stations without truck lanes. But it might not show the correct TSD price.
Oh the good old days when fuel was cheap. Had to make me laugh. 11 months ago
Have you all generally linked your primary checking account or have you created a new account dedicated for TSD?
We opened a separate account for the coach to use with TDS.
We opened a separate, dedicated account. Easier to monitor and keep track of. Less security risk.
Makes sense, thanks!
A recent change by EFS(last month), if you have not used your card in the last 6 months, it will be listed as inactive and you will get a big surprise at the pump when you go to finalize your purchase.... When you call TSD about it they will tell you that they will reactivate the card but you have only 24 hours to use it or it will go inactive again. They are working on the issue but for now that is what it is.
Jerre
TSD did say that if you find that your card is inactive when you check out, call them immediately while you are there and they MAY be able to get the card activated while you are there.($60 mistake on my part)
Jerre
Did EFS contact you people with that information, if so makes me wonder why I received no notice.
EFS never told TSD of their change. They only found out by outraged members and followed up with EFS. They say they are trying to work the issue with EFS.
Jerre
I meant to ask did TSD contact. It would be disappointing to have the card declined.
It's been 2 years since the last post - is TSD still the preferred diesel fueling program (in particular for pump start)?
I Think TSD has become "Open Roads" - Open Roads - Home (https://myopenroads.com/)
They also have a Nationwide Toll Transponder...
It is for me. Now called Open Roads. Does not include Flying J/Pilot. Good app on smart phones.
Michelle,
The only problem we have had was we hadn't used the card while we were confined at home. I had to call TSD and have the card reactivated. They said that if you didn't use the card in a 12 month period the card will be locked out for security reasons.
Pamela
They locked mine for 6 months unused. Phone call was quick and easy to re-activate.
I use the TSD👍👍. my only complaint is reloading the app and passwords when I have changed devices. Monthly use. Ive noticed some times the private local prices may be within a penny but the large nozzle supply is so much nicer and non stop delivery of my fuel purchase.
I also had to reactivate ours because it was over 6 months between useage. It was very easy to get it working again by calling the number on the back of the card.
