Title: wiper motor replacement
Post by: stevec22 on August 27, 2019, 04:44:12 pm
I recall seeing a thread where someone replaced the wiper motor on their coach.  I have searched and can not seem to find the right combination of search terms.  Does anyone remember it?

My problem is that a year ago I replaced the wiper arms and unfortunately over torqued the nut, which caused the post of the secondary support to break.  This is the post that holds the "little" arm of the panograph wiper arm.  It is the passenger side.

Can anyone advise which parts need to be replaced?  Does the wiper motor need to be replaced?  part number?

Any help is appreciated.

Do a forum search for "Wiper Problem 96 U270".  Should give you an idea on what to do.  At the moment I am unable to figure out how to post the link to this topic.  Read the whole thread.  The key is moving the CB panel out of the way.

Yes, how do I do that?
Edit: Oh wait, highlight the URL copy and paste.  Is that right?

Jerry,

After you  search and find the thread you are looking for.  go to the bar at the top of the page.  It should have a URL line that looks  like foreforums-yada,yada,yada=and then some numbers. Highlight this with the curser and right click. This should bring up a drop down menu that will have "Copy"  Left click on the word copy then move back to your present post screen. Once there right click and your drop down window will show you a "Paste" option.  Left click on that  and you are done.

On edit:
I think we are saying the same thing.

Thanks all,

As it turns out I only need the  Pantograph Adapter Plate.  It is going to be a bit easier to change than a motor.  Only problem,  there are two bolts through the front of the coach.  My arms are not long enough to reach both sides (inside and outside) of the bolts.  I will order the replacement and get a helper to hold a wrench on the nuts inside.
