Title: Front lights
Post by: Lt403 on August 31, 2019, 07:52:47 pm
Good evening everyone,
My coach has 3 sets of lights up front
I have been unable to turn on the middle ones.
Thanks for your help

The middle ones are DRL and turn signal/ parking lights. DRL will only come on when in drive and parking brake off.

Drl lights should come on when ignition is on, that is the way they have worked on vehicles for 15+years in Canada to the best on my knowledge. USA came on board many years later

Don't believe they are required in the US, but many cars and trucks have them.

The USA has always been way behind every other civilized country in the world when it comes to motor vehicle lighting standards.

Those lights are 1999-2002 Chevy Silverado. I drive a 2001 Silverado that I bought new nineteen years ago and the DRLs do not come on until the vehicle is in drive with the parking brake off, same as my FT, and if you turn the headlights on the DRLs will go off.

Thanks traveling man.
Now that I have that information I can replace them.
They are scratched up and not as nice as the headlights.
