A couple interesting coaches on Craigslist this morning:
1994 Foretravel - rvs - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (https://kansascity.craigslist.org/rvs/d/sedalia-1994-foretravel/6960970164.html)
1984 Classic Deisel Motorhome - rvs - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (https://sanantonio.craigslist.org/rvs/d/san-antonio-1984classicdeiselrv38/6968108316.html)
Never seen a nose like the '84, pictures or otherwise. Maybe custom?
Looks like the headlights are mounted on compartment doors. Additional storage?
Looks "homemade" to me, and not (IMO) very attractive. But, to each their own...
Aero improvement for sure .
Not nearly enough lights, on the front.....
If you want to call him the area code for San Antonio is 210
The '84 must've been customized by Chevy Chase...the Wagon Queen Family Truckster....WOW!!!
I was thinking the same thing!
Now, the outside appearance of the 94, stunning with the single ribbon.
Very first thought I had as well. They say great minds think alike. ^.^d
The interior is what makes the 94 "one of a kind". Rear kitchen featuring a single bed and the shower in the living room.
Jo Ann says she likes the paint scheme on the 1984. She didn't even blink when she saw the nose.
Noticeable delamination on the '84 drivers side.
O.K. Explanation needed here...... on the 94 with the rear kitchen, it's a unihome with an 8.3 Cummins, engine access from the rear hatch only? It has no bed access and no apparent hump in the floor, verticle engine clearance has to be non existent. Has anyone here examined a DP FT with this floorplan? Guess I'm just missing something here. ???
Looks like the door on the right looking aft is a closet, perhaps L shaped extending over the engine? The engine might extend under the kitchen counter...eliminating under counter storage? That's my guess. Whatever, it's weird. Woody.
I'd take them both, if I could.
I really want that 84. How crazy is that. I mean I really want it. Also with a 3208 I would never lose my belt changing skills.
Detroit diesel V8? Sounds like the Detroit Diesel turbo-charged V8 Fuel Pincher 210 Hp like in my 1989 GV.
Way underpowered for the 38' coach.
And the odometer reads 45,692.0 NOT 456,920
'94 ad says "3 roof air", but I only see two warts on the roof?
Where is the potty in the '94? In the closet next to the "shower curtain"?
I like the cabinet doors on the front between-the-seats re-purposed TV enclosure!
Definitely a unique interior layout.
Look closely and you'll barely see a third one up forward in the exterior pic as well as in the interior pic. It's not centered in the roof, more to the passenger side so it's only half visible.
Yep, yer correct - guess I need to clean my glasses.
The 1984 has a GM Diesel. I talk to the owner it has AC problems no dash air and one roof air not cooling properly.
Don't know the age of the tires.
The 1994 was the coach built for Charlie Wilson former United States Representative from Texas 2nd congressional district. He used it to travel in his district. This info came from the owner now.
Jimmy,
That explains a lot as if this is that coach. Behind the kitchen is a small bedroom/dressing room. I thought that coach was a 40' though. Someone has done a lot of work on that coach from the last time I saw it. That could make you a good coach to tinker on.
Mike
Mike guess I will have to make a road trip.
