Has anyone used Braided vinyl on the Salon floor instead of carpet? Have you changed the original floor? What did you use? Here is a sample of the braided vinyl.
At David Flanigans suggestion (they were doing it on the new IH models I used "Chilewich on the entry stairs and ove it - wears like iron, looks great, easy clean up - put it on after the bottom entry step rotted out (like they all do) and was replaced with a starboard step instead of plywood.
Sorry, no picture..but here is an ebay add for a floor mat that is similar

I got my material on ebay as a remnant - (since i didnt need a lot) and FOT installed on treads and sides of staircase. turned out great, love the upgrade
Interesting Tim, Sailrite sells the material for +- $190 for a 6 foot wide yard Chilewack is one of the samples I received. Maybe you can take a photo?
Interesting option. Is it glued down?
It could be glued but the braided vinyll comes with a rubber like backing for padding.
once you tear, scratch or cut it -- its toast.
7 years so far on my entry steps, we leave shoes on till we get in coach. Not disagreeing that it's toast if torn, but not sure how easy that is. My tile floor looked like crap (cracks and chips) after a few years, the chlewich holding up much better
Yes I believe if you tear or rip it it would look terrible, but it is not that easiy torn or ripped, once installed. In fact I think it is pretty strong material, especially because it is braided.
