Am looking to replace a couple of the ceiling ac filter covers. I can find the Polar White on Amazon but have not been able to locate and Off White/Beige for our units.
Thoughts?
What Flavor are we talking about? Skittles or Hershey chocolate? ^.^d
Need a brand plz and product..thanks
IF the duo therm.. difficult to find the off white.. I found some paint that sticks to plastic so I am thinking of painting all my vent covers and making them match the decor ..Something to think about ^.^d
Krylon makes good rattle can paint for plastic, but I have found it isn't very UV resistant so I don't use it on outdoor stuff.
Scott are you looking for the covers or the filter material. I just got some replacement filters for my Penguins at Camping World. Don't usually purchase from them, but they had the filters I needed, only took a week to have them shipped 125 miles from one store to another,

I found a set of beige covers on eBay.
I didn't think of ebay.
Two tone might be interesting. Think anyone would see the difference? :D
This Heirloom White paint is close to the original color. I always pull all the plastic parts (AC covers, vents, Kool-o-Matic) and paint with this stuff. To me the original is just a little dingy looking. This just brightens them up a bit.

There is a Rustoleum epoxy white appliance paint that seems closer to my gel coat than Jor's above. That was my first try. You will never get it prefect. Sometimes just a shade off is worse than close but not quite.
Purchased a cover from CW. We will see if it matches.
Looked on ebay but could not determine what color other than Polar White was available so ended up a CW. Also tried PPL, on line, but same results there.
Thanks to all for your input. :)
Roger,
I was referring to the interior plastic parts.

Jor, you are right. No matter what color you are trying to match it is going to be challenging.
Scott I would go with the paint. It works. Put a good cleaning on it first, wipe it down with alcohol and put on several light coats. Even if you have to retouch it once in a while, its all good.
I have painted most of the gold stuff in the interior and a few of the faded white stuff, like the ac duct covers and the aqua hot covers. Works great. The only place I have to rethink is the shower. Might have to see if they will sell me the shower stuff without the glass one day, but I might still try painting it again just to be sure, or to just get it powder coated. Since I don't much like the white, might paint the ac cover (inside) as well.
I use Krylon.
Just bought some on ebay. The beige ones are part number #3104928001. I like them, but they don't match perfectly. The seller shipped fast.
