Last time I fueled-up, I moved the coach for the folks waiting behind me, paid and left. Forgot one thing on the gas pump, whoops!
200 miles down the road, I went to top the tank up for storage and found none. Went to the local NAPA, they had none. Anyone know where to get one, or am I the only space case that's ever lost one? It's 2 3/8" outside and 1 5/8th inside. single thread, non-locking.
Thanks, Mike.
Foretravel?
I 3/4" seems to be the standard neck 1 5/8" might be the way you measure it. Says pressure vacuum in one place and vented at the end.

Vented or unvented- our 99 U270 is a vented cap
Yup. '93 GV Np clue if it's vented or non. Heck, I have enough trouble remembering my wife's birthday!
My '99 U320 is non vented and has a vent hose attached to a roll over valve in the center of the tank.
I put a locking cap on ours. The neighbor kids have their cummins coal rollers, better safe than sorry. I tore the place apart trying to find the part # and its long gone. If my memory is right, the kid at oreiley auto said its 90's gm pickup. I think you can even get it green in color.
You measure thread diameter over the male side.
A totally full tank and a non vented cap followed quickly by a full throttle long hill in medium weather will cause fuel to pour out of the tanks center vent. If you alter any of the preceding details the non vented works fine. Hot fuel expanded that much.
Did it twice before I put on vented caps.
Yes I tip the coach to really fill it. That gives me consistent measurements on engine, gen and aquahot fuel.
If everything does not add up I know I have an issue.
The Cummins engine fuel usage is very accurate as is the gens useage.
But the forced overflow under severe conditions was my payback I guess.
Vented cap = fuel smell in bays. Ask me how I know
Installed vented caps:

Mike,
At the next fuel stop tell them you left your cap there last time you filled up there. They probably have a box of em'. :)
This also works at a hotel if you forgot your phone charger. :)
see ya
