Title: Aux compressor fuse
Post by: Economy Travellers on December 05, 2019, 01:45:32 pm
The aux compressor  for our leveling system will not come on
Compressor works
I found a fuse in the control box for the leveling system (15amp) which was good
My schematic shows a 15amp fuse in the line going to the battery  but I cannot find it
The compressor will not come on if I try to use the air hose to pump
Any ideas
Donnie

Donnie,

1. I believe that on your coach the HWH compressor has a manual reset breaker hid in the basement behind the fiberglass cover that is hanging on one of the basement walls.

2. Are you attempting to use the HWH compressor to run the air hose that is to fill the tires? If so that compressor isn't made to do that job. On your coach there should be a check valve that prevents you from using this compressor to run the air hose but check your air line prints to be sure.

2a. Will it come on if you push the raise button on your control panel?

My auxiliary compressor has a 5 amp fuse (bundled with all those unsightly wires) next to it that I remove when changing the desiccant.

Mike
It won't come on if I use the up button on the panel
It also will not come on if I leave the level system on once it is level and let the computer level the coach each half hour
I was hoping it was maybe a fuse but maybe itis the control  panel for the hwh system
Are you saying that the air hose will only work when the engine is running

I thought that it might be one of the 12v breakers behind the fiberglass panel so I had checked them and all were good

Donnie, I'm guessing that you have an air hose in the small bay just aft of the door. That hose is connected to the MAIN air system, not the aux one. You have to have the big engine running in order to have air in that hose.

That is where the hose is located
Thanks David

Donnie,

Check to see if the pressure switch that controls the HWH compressor has power to it along with checking that it is functioning. This switch may be bad causing the system to think that it has full pressure.

The aux pump will not come on if you have more than 70 psi in the air tanks.
