Title: Allison MD3060R Hose Failure
Post by: pthurman48 on December 06, 2019, 08:52:46 pm
When I pulled into OK RV Park in Holbrook,AZ: the tranny kicked into neutral.  When I go into my site I looked and oil was all over the toad.  I checked the tranny, no fluid on the stick.  I got under and found where the tranny cooling hoses had rubbed together and caused a leak.  I had dumped all the ATF in 350 miles.  I called Jason with Adams Road Service and replaced both hoses with new stuff.  Had to overnight 4 Fittings, 20' 1" hose, 6 gal ATF, 5 hrs labor = $1420.00.  All in All now in Las Vegas, and all is well.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Sorry for your problem.

Every hose should be check for rubbing.  Use old hose pieces, plastic cable ties, etc to be sure no hose rubs on anything anywhere.  These are all preventable problems.
