A fellow forum member was hit by a car while sitting at a traffic light. Did mostly fiberglass damage but did crunch up the air box. He's deciding where to take the coach for repair but neither of us thinks it's a good idea to drive very far with the air box like this. Hoping to just buy one and replace before driving any further. I've checked the label and can't find anything but a filter number (P148043). Anyone know what the part number is? 2000 U270 8.3 Cummins.
thanks
ken
I went out and looked at my coach 1999 270. No info found. You can cover any existing rupture by duct tape first. Then use aluminum ac duct work tape. Using the duct tape first is because its stronger then ac tape. Ac tape being metal will give you a solid air seal. Of course, you could get flashing metal, duct tape, ac tape and then do large area repairs. All common products at big box hardware. Remember the metal snips. Dont have to get fancy cutters just solid ones. Watch edges they will slice you up.
Don't know why I didn't think to look at mine. Label shows it uses the same filter. My coach is 8 years older though. ECG11-2001 Can anyone confirm this on a 2000 or close to coach?

Can you run the ESN through Cummins Quikserve? That might yield the part number.
Just looked at mine and is same number that Ken gives

I checked mine... no part number, just filter numbers. I think the filter housing is a Donaldson product. I found the attached illustration in one of their catalogs.

Obviously the air filter itself is damaged. I would think that driving the coach could lead to particles from the damaged filter getting into the engine with dire results.

Thanks for the picture George. It shows the number to the left of the filter number which is this;

Pricey!!

Have him look at the Donaldson site for a newer upgrade,look at all the members that have gotten water in their air cleaners lately, would plumb in a water trap.
We all said the same thing

Hey John, speaking of water in the intake, do you have plans for your mod to prevent that? If so, would you post them?
Thanks in advance.

Hi George thanks for the pictures of yours. I'm sure it's the same air cleaner. We couldn't quite read the entire number. Found they're available thru Amazon.Only $655 + 90 to ship. We're researching the needed replacement parts.
