Finally put tile up in the kitchen! I find it very hard to pick tile, lol.
These tiles are self-stick, but they are made of aluminum! I didn't really have the right tools for the job, but I think it still turned out really good!
What I used: 2 boxes of tiles (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R76MC9M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have a third box and will eventually add to the wall on the left of the stove... just need to figure out how to cut a hole for the outlet.
Box cutter
Tin snips
Scissors
For not having right tools looks might good to me
Jimmy must have been off that lemonade! It looks good! lol
That stuff looks great! I'm going to check it out, plus should weigh next to nothing. Nice!
Buy a Multi Tool with a metal cutting blade. Not expensive. One of the greatest tools ever invented. Lowes or Harbor Freight.
Jimmy had nothing to do with it! He is in full game mode! Lol
I did it all... and man, I am paying for it today!
Shoot! We have one and it never occurred to me to get it out!
Thanks for posting that link, love the 'tile' and ordered a couple of boxes.
We have corian backsplashes that look original. Hammer and chisel for removal? I'm assuming FT used lots of adhesive. I do have an oscillating tool to make it easier.
Did you use additional adhesive of just the peel and stick?
I did not use any additional adhesive. This tile has a much thicker sticky back than others I looked at, but you will need to get that darn old adhesive off. They used LOTS behind the mirror. I used GooGone. It worked, but I needed tons and a scrapper. Still left a slightly oily residue. Tried all kinds of stuff to get it off and couldn't get it completely off. I think it's in the wallpaper, so if you have a non oily way of removing the old glue, I would use it.
Eventually, I just stuck the tile and it's not budging.
It looks great. Excellent choice. ^.^d
Looks very nice! Great job! b^.^d
Excellent job. It really looks nice.
