Title: Flag pole buddy
Post by: bigdog on December 20, 2019, 01:10:33 pm
Just got the flag pole buddy ladder mount set up yesterday. The mounts are very nicely made and easy to use.

The only disappointment was that they say "made in America" Well that is only true for the mount. The fiberglass pole and the very, very cheesy American flag are from China. There is just something fundamentally wrong with a Chinese made American flag. Flag pole buddy should at least offer an American made flag upgrade or just raise the price a few $ and include a real American flag.

These are usually at a booth in the Big Tent @ Quartzsite. We bought ours there. You can actually look at one before you buy it.  The staff is knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to questions about mounting it on your coach. An optional accessory is a neat LED light. ...I think it has a remote, too. Our neighbors even commented about the night light that lit both of our coaches - parked rear to rear in the RV Park, there.

This is my '81 with a flagpole high enough and with an amber strobe light, to have the officials at California Speedway tell me to bring it down, as the drivers thought there was a yellow caution out.

I just set up my flag pole this trip using a mount that attaches to one of  the receiver hitches. It worked great except there is a little play in the mount and the pole is a little sloppy and moves around a little and make a noise in the bedroom the 2nd nite I lowered if a little and it was a little better but still made noise. Being the only one in the campground the DW was a little spooked. Gonna have to figure something out.

This guy gets the 'tallest flag pole' award! (would be fun to drive out or be in high winds with THAT extended!)

Mike look at reply #3 it was over 30 ft. I am waiting for a challenger. There was an american flag above the Dale Earnhardt then an amber strobe.
