Good morning everyone,
My porch and handle light has been working, with the switch, And sometimes it will turn on with the switch off when the handle is touched. Besides using the switch I'm not quite sure when it's actually supposed to turn on.
Anyway now it won't turn off.
I've read a few post stating that moisture may have gotten into the handle but it doesn't say when you take apart the handle should I take the top off or the bottom off.
I've been looking at the 12 V wiring diagram and can't find it

Module is inside the magazine rack to the right of the passenger seat. TONS of screws to get into the space.
Porch Light stays on (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=22560.msg172359#msg172359)
Frank; The handle is suppose to light up when you touch the bottom of the handle getting in our out of your coach. It will go off after a few minutes. The switch on the passenger side by the door is an off/on switch and when switched on, the light will stay on until you switch it off. There may not be anything wrong with your handle light. Make sure the switch is off and then see if the light won't shut off. Hope this helps. You may have another problem, but I would check this out first.
Rain, snow, Ice or washing the coach will ground the handle. Dry it off and reseal if needed. BTDT

Mine was doing the same thing, I took off the wood grab handle inside and removed the bottom outside metal part of the outside handle, I dried off everything under it and used a hair dryer to be sure it was dry ( not sure that was necessary ) be sure that the wire ring terminal is around where the bottom screw goes stays in place. Ask me how I know.
Thanks everyone!
LOL.. didn't even know the handle was supposed to light up till recently. Took the handle off and put a M4 led bulb in there and now it lights with the switch and turns off after a while. I think my ground is intermittent. A PO put a Extreme handle in a some point and would like to switch it out later on to either a Fortravel one or just blank. Nothing against extreme but haven't been there yet and not a advertising kind of guy.
Anyone know if the gaskets are available for these or do you just make new ones?
Noticed that the wiring is pretty tight where it goes thru the wall of the coach. Over time that might weaken the wire. Better way would have been to make the hole a bit bigger and seal with caulk imo.
Might take off the cover for the parts when I remove the seats. Just to see whats in there and make sure there are no issues.
