Title: Clearance light up-grade
Post by: craneman on January 08, 2020, 07:15:27 pm
Another project stolen from Don. I can't keep up with all his mods, but keep trying.
Learned a lesson on the LED turn signals, the last straw for the factory flasher went down with the side turn signal behind the passenger door. Picture later on that one. Need electronic flasher now.

How about the stop/turn lights? They don't look stock. Nice!

Summit was the seller and United Pacific was the manufacturer.

Stole that project from Don also, over a year ago.

Looks good craneman!
I did my front one's a few months ago. I used Grote 47733 from find it parts. Need to do the rears at some point.

I think when you look at parts on Finditparts the cookie program they have is very aggressive. So look, wait, usually a discount code will be given to you. It all helps.

Update the last 4 lights are done. The front side light was the straw that broke the factory flasher's back. when I installed it the flasher just stayed on as not enough amps were there to make it flash. I have a new electronic flasher on the way that only requires .1 amp to flash. By putting the 194 bulb back in the mirror turn signal I can make it work if the new flasher isn't here by Wed. which is the latest we planned to leave for the Q.
