Title: Villa vs flexsteel
Post by: Journey, Roam, Explore on January 14, 2020, 09:46:35 pm
Captain chairs have to go. Neither matches, both have a thousand holes from po cat claws and the vinyl is sticky. Also uncomfortable. The passenger seat has a integrated seat belt . It's a Villa. The driver's seat has a lap belt only. Not comfortable with that.
Have gotten quotes on both. As expected the Flexsteel is less expensive. The Villa offers so much more in options.
What I want to know is comfort. Which one is more comfortable?
Not interested in recovering them anymore. New chairs only. Ones that match.
So for those of you who has sat in both, which did you like better? A thread on another site indicates that the Villa was more comfortable.

The notes in my coach show the first owner having the Villa's removed and flexsteel installed under warranty. His complaint was that the Villa's were too big for his taste. They must be more comfortable if they were larger.

We had the old villa seats with the lap belt and the low backs, very comfortable.
While in FOT in November saw a set of used Villa chairs with the integrated shoulder belt, bought them and had them recovered.
The old seats were big with the passenger seat wider than the passenger seat.
The new seats are big, comfortable, luxurious, drive all day and you just want to stay sitting in those seats, they have movement in every direction you can imagine, lumbar support and nice high backs. the big passenger seat also has the extendable foot test and of course swivels around to face the rear.
Villa verses Flexteel - Flexteel is good and comfortable whereas Villa is "luxurious" and a whole lot more money if buying new, if you can afford the Villa or can pick up a used set get them.

Yes I think that I have the "queen" version of the Villa which is quite big.
My thoughts are the same that the flexsteel are good, but the Villa are much better. Its going to eat a hole in my budget but think I am going with them. Was going to put in a 3rd chain with massage, but now I can just put in the massage in the co-pilots chair.
Will take 6-8 weeks to get them though.
