Hello all,
We just purchased a 1996 U295. It is in great shape with several upgrades. It still has the corian counters, which is fine but the gold foil inlay has got to go. If I purchase mylar foil adhesive tape will that stick okay? Hoping someone has done something similar. Open to suggestions, I peeled back a corner and it is unfinished ugly under the tape so I have to put something in the groove.
walnut edge trim - stained to match- comes in a roll usually with adhesive back -
if you need a smaller width than shown here consider a large size and "slit"
Or go to your local countertop fabricator and let him show you the different ideas they have for your "groove"
I have used laminate, cut in down to size a glue it in. There are a ton of options with laminate

Here is the Birch Stacy :)
Since you are going to be here for an extended period of time, you guys can come over and use the table saw to rip it. I am pretty certain that we could use my heat gun to activate the glue rather than using an iron, since its in a groove and you cant get to it with an iron.
Thanks Ben! We will bring the beer ( for after, of course :))
Ben, I like that idea if we can figure out how to rip the piece to width. I'm thinking a straight edge and really sharp knife.
