Title: Living room and kitchen ceiling lights work only one side
Post by: Diane and Louie 04 U295 on February 06, 2020, 08:32:26 am
Living room and kitchen ceiling lights were working fine on both side and now, only the passenger side is working for both rooms. Any idea on what can cause that and how to fix it ? Thanks

Check fuses at the foot of the bed.

Twosons,

If you have a living room slide... that is normal. The slide needs to be out for those light to come on.

Its seems to be a ground because when I ground them, they work. But I can't find where the ground wire comes out of the ceiling and down to the basement

If it is the slide like Jim posted, there is going to be a relay to ground them when the slide is out.

Check the GFI in the bathroom.

If you have a slide , take off trim at the top of slide. Should have a sail switch that turns the lights off when slide is in . It probably is broken.

In our 2001 there is a relay in the space above the microwave and to the right behind a panel that controls the dr side lights above the slide.  I don't recall if it switches plus or minus.  When I switched to all LED lighting it stated buzzing for some reason so I removed it and wired straight through. LED lights on that side are on with the slide in or out now.

Thank you all. Problem solved. We closed and reopen the slide and lights comes on. It was all great advice. Love this group
