Title: Uline Icemaker Survey
Post by: floridarandy on February 10, 2020, 08:52:50 am
Lots of threads about ice makers but thought this survey might be interesting for all.

Did all come with U-Line ice makers? I assumed, (and we know about that one) that this cabinet is factory. All the hardware and wood match the rest of the kitchen.

Probably was either "standard" or "optional" depending on year, model and trim packages.

On your '99 U320 it apparently depended on what fridge was installed and the floor plan.  See "Interior Features" below:

That would explain it. Probably came with the 12 cu. ft. with ice maker in the fridge.  Too bad build sheets aren't put in the coach.

My cabinet is just like yours and sure looks original to me.

Thank you so much for the quick response.  I need it at least 14 5/8" wide 23" tall.  No sooner that I posted that Dave Flannigan called.  He is going to give me an estimate to make the door so it will mach.  Waiting for the estimate. We are going to make the inside drawer like what you and chuck and jeannie have.
Thanks again,
John M.

Ours is built into the fridge and we loved it when it worked but it sprang a leak in the apparatus below the fridge.  We have been shopping for a new propane one with similar dimensions AND with the ice maker but not easy to find.  Guess Dometic does make one....  it's moving higher up the list.

On my coach that is where the trash compactor went.

My OEM ice maker wan't working when we bought our coach. I was able to find new/old stock guts and now it works really well.

I think my 97's door is wider.  Bottom slide out drawer only.  Someone removed a second drawer that was in the middle of the opening.  Want a compactor in that spot.  But the cabinet is fully framed inside it would be a major job I think.  And I have a 15" kitchen aid compactor we took out of our home as we put in a toe kick newer model matching wood kitchenaid in our kitchen during last years remodel.

Either that or get FOT to build me another drawer.

Same with my coach. No ice maker, just storage.  I prefer it that way.

Our U-line still works great in our 30 year old coach. I wonder if the warranty has run out yet. :))

Heave-Ho'd the icemaker for something a little more refined.
