I have a 89 GV with a Cat 3208T. I am in need of the A/C Idler pully. Does anybody know where I can get one or have a part#. The old pulley was missing when I bought it. Summer is coming and Texas can get hot.

You can try a CAT dealer parts dept. You may have to go to the chassis builder. It gets difficult to find parts on our older machines. This pulley is probably very standard, so pull it out and go shopping. Have a great day ---- Fritz
The pulley is gone, all I have left is the shaft
I'll check the pulley size on my 3208T and post it. Have a great day. ---- Fritz
I may have one. I removed the ac and added an alternator. Not sure if I used the idler.
The ac is problematic, with 70 ft of old hose etc.
No gots.
This is the tensioner that fit my 1995 U300 3208 Cat Build #4627
I hope this helps
Andrew
Your 1995 U300 will NOT have the Caterpillar 3208. If a Caterpillar engine, you will have the 3176.
Darn,,,,
You are correct Brett I was half asleep when I posted I did have the 3176 in my 95 it was my 1991 that had the 3208 Sorry Guys
Hey fellas, wake up. Michael said his pulley WAS MISSING! So how can he "pull" out his pulley?
The idler pulley on my 3208T is about 3 & 1/2 in. I can't give you the key way size, you can probably get it from your shaft. You can get the belt size from the a/c compressor. Good hunting. Have a great day ---- Fritz
