Title: Air Leak near tank - Pressure Protection Valve
Post by: DayDreamer on February 17, 2020, 07:26:50 am
Air is leaking from the part in the photo.  This one is on the front "passenger side" tank.

What is it and how do I repair it or do I just replace it?

Thanks.

Just replace it as they no longer supply the replacement diaphragms for the  pressure protection valve.
They run about $15 so shop around.  You can get Haldex brand all the way down to cheep knock offs so you be the judge.

Here is a link to get you started 90555397 - Pressure Protection Valve - Haldex product (https://www.haldex.com/en/na/valves-9c82abc0/pressure-protection-valves/haldex-pressure-protection-valves/90555397/)

Link to thread that might help answer your question in more detail, plus a few more part numbers for your perusal:

Thank you for the help identifying the part and the links. I updated the subject of the post to make it easier to find now that I know it is a pressure protection valve.  I though it looked similar to a regulator.

How do you determine the correct pressure setting to use?.  Looking at the links referenced posts I found two numbers:  90555396  is a 65/70 psi and 90555397 is an 80/85 psi valve.
