Title: Front Tank Sudden Pressure Loss
Post by: Ghallid on March 01, 2020, 11:15:44 pm
While exercising the coach today in preparation for our trip to Zions NP this week I experienced an audible alarm, dash "system level" illuminated and front tank briefly lost about 25 lbs of pressure (down to 75 lbs) This happened after about 35 miles but quickly recovered and no issue for the remaining 10 miles to home. At the time I was on a 2 mile 5-6% incline.

I recently replacing the check valves, pressure protection valves, D2 governor, rebuilt Air Dyer. Tanks hold good pressure and coach will stay lifted above safety stands for days. Was this sudden drop in pressure something that should cause me concern or something that just needs close attention on the trip? As always your advice is very much appreciated.

Greg

Possible the front ride height valve is leaking/seals failing.

Mysterious.  You have replaced most of the usual troublesome items.  And you only lost pressure briefly in the front tank.............

Greg's idea (above) sounds like a possibility.  While looking at the ride height valve, also inspect the TinkerToy linkage from valve to frame.  Make sure it is all secure and not coming loose.

I can't think of anything else....

I believe you have the blue box computer and no physical air line to the gauge. The box might have malfunctioned.
