Title: Foretravels in Sedona, Az-
Post by: cdm on March 06, 2020, 04:54:37 pm
I have been in Sedona, Az. since Jan 10, with exception of 2 weeks in February, and I have yet to see another Foretravel? I am at Rancho Sedona RV Park, and have made several trips in tow car to Dead Horse Ranch State Park in nearby Cottonwood, Az. I am surprised I have not seen at least one other coach. I am heading east in a couple of weeks, hopefully I will have a sighting before leaving. FYI- both of these parks mentioned are very nice. Dead Horse does not have sewer at the sites but they do have a convenient dump station and excellent bathroom facilities

The old Western Horizons Park in Camp Verde was a hang out for FT's in the Fall of 15 or 16, there were 3 of us there, it just happened no planning.

I have stayed at your RV park for 20 years, only time we saw another Foretravel is when one comes with us.

Come to Tucson (Justin's Diamond J) and you'll find 3 coaches at the moment. Sedona is pretty but a little pricey.

see ya

We tried to get up there (Clarkdale actually) after our stay in Tucson. But were told to pound sand because of our coaches age. Did get up to the bike shop in Oak Creek to meet a guy I bought a bike rack from (thanks Craigslist) But didn't venture to the RV park in Sedona to have a look. If I had, I would do what I always do. Pound on your door and have a chat.

Hello Wayne. How are things on the island? Don't see you on the forum to often.

I think we have finally worked out the big kinks in Reg's old coach. She has been treating us well for a while now.

Next time you see Reg's wife. Give her our best regards. We do plan on floating the coach back to the island this summer to venture up to the north end as we haven't seen that part of V.I. before.

All the best.

As luck would have it BIG DOG stopped by while I was at the grocery, left card in my door. Thank you BIG DOG for making the effort, sorry I missed you. IF I get over near Prescott I will give you a call.

We will be on a "rolling rally" starting at Williams, AZ (Grand Canyon) and then on to Sedona from 29 April to 7 May.  We still have a few openings if anyone is interested in joining us.

It is getting very rainy in the Prescott-Sedona area and is expected to get 4 plus inches of rain over the next three days or so. I'd hate to be in any of the Dry? camp areas around here.

Jerome was our favorite stop when we visited the Sedona area.  What a cool town built on a mountain side.

That's the way we drove over to Sedona. The goofy chick in the box (GPS) wanted me on I-17. Rubbish.

Folks looked surprised when they saw a 15Ft Subaru with a 17ft sea-kayak on top come zipping around a sharp curve on 89A. Had a late lunch at Bobby D's BBQ. Wife had a Brisket sandwich, I had a pulled pork sandwich with a bunch of Jalapenos on it. Both were very good. The crispy fries were excellent as well. Booby D's BBQ (http://bobbydsbbqjerome.com/)

That 89A is a ride for sure!  Lot's of sharp curves and drops with no guard rails.  lol  Jerome is a great place to visit.  Did you make a visit to the museum.  Very interesting and worth the price to get in.  There were 3 of us in Verde Valley during the month of January!
