On this rainy day, I'm trying to figure out what is going on with our ceiling light next to the shower. It seems it is on two momentary switches, one on the side of the bathroom cabinet an the other in the bedroom on the dresser. There seems to be a clicking noise when the momentary switch in the bedroom is pushed. So, took out the drawer and looked up and there appears to be a locking relay of sorts. Is there a work around on this so I can get the ceiling light to work and not take a shower in the dark, well, not dark, but dim lighting. Anyone fooled with this issue before? If so, please advise to a fix that I can jump into. Many thanks in advance!

If yours is like mine, there is a panel in the closet behind the drawers that comes off and the relay is there along with some other electrical stuff. The cross bar comes off and a trim is removed. Look for small screws along the back of the closet.
Nobody have a fix for this other than trying to locate another latching relay?
I found the relay behind the drawers in the bedroom. There was enough information on the relay that I was able to search, locate and order on line. I'll look tomorrow and see if I can get that information for you.
Thanks Brad; I also found it behind the dresser drawer and saw the info. However, when I called MOT, they said that the Intellitec was no longer available. I was wondering if someone had done a fix on the lights so that they would work without the relay. Thanks for responding though!
Look at the specs on this one and see if it might work, I think it's the same one used for the water pump:
Amazon.com: FINDER 20.21.9.012.0000 CONTACTOR, SPST-NO, 12VDC, DIN-RAIL:... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MEIXNB4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Unfortunately, that isn't it. Thanks for trying!
This is the same part I used.
I have used one of these for replacement. Last one I bought was about $30 so shop around.
Intellitec Mpx Low Side 10Amp Latching Controller look up this part number - 00-00145-100
Mike
I had a latching relay go in my Dynasty for the water pump, took it apart and the diode was gone replaced it with a higher amp one
and it is still working.
This is the one Mike is using.
Amazon.com: Intellitec 0000145100 10 Amp Monoplex Water Pump Control: Automotive (https://www.amazon.com/Intellitec-0000145100-Monoplex-Water-Control/dp/B00A2TBL7A)
Thank you all for posting! Going to remove the old one tomorrow so I can see if I can retreive a part number on it. The one I have looks like it has around 8 electric hookups to it. Will post photo and part when I find it.
Found the part number and it can be ordered on line; #00-000-189-000 by Intellitec; $80 Also available from FOT, as i spoke with Brad and they didn't even know that they had this. Nice find Brad!!!!! However, just not sure if that is causing the issue or not with the light working. I am assuming it is, since there are 2 green wires on the momentary switch in the bath vanity and going to the switch in the bedroom behind the chest of drawers. Anyone have an idea on how to check to see if this is the problem?
Jump between 12 volt and load wires and the light should come on.
Here is a photo of our Monoplex unit in bedroom, which is located behind the dresser drawer cabinet. I have contacted Keith Risch and he knows the issues with these and I am waiting a call from their parts dept and a schematic of the fix. Will post all information once I receive them.
Well, a huge shout out to Keith Risch at MOT for his diagram and figuring out what part I needed to get the light next to the shower finally working. What a bear to get to, as the photos will show. Happy Camper! Now to find TP and Bread and we will be good to go! lol
In photo #1; Keith said they replace the monoplex switch with this latching relay and sent a schematic with it to assist. Wow, it was a good thing and a call to him to verify wires to cut, etc. got it done! The second photo is of the original relay that was in there. 3rd is the schematic Keith sent to me. One photo which showed how I got into this area without standing on my head through the top drawer in the bedroom. I removed the wall inside the closet and it made it much easier to get to. Still a bear, but doable and now we have a light by the shower. Now to order those strips of led's to make things brighter like Roger and others have done. Thanks everyone for your help on this!
All the wires and latching relay safely zip tied up and out of the way now as well.
Thank you for posting this schematic!!! My intellitec failed, and I have a spare Finder brand latching relay due to having to replace the one for the kitchen lights and buying two at that time, but I wasnt sure how to wire it. This solves my conundrum!
Ditto, and thanks Evan for bumping the topic.
