What could possibly go wrong?
:D
Where would you like to start ? Crappie World perhaps
That's who sent me the ad.
Funny, while we were in Mesa Spirit RV Resort in Mesa, AR, an RVer got a brand new Newell delivered to his site. Not sure if he knew how to drive it and it was the talk of the resort for a short while. Beautiful rig, in the 1.5 million range! Yikes!
At that price, I'd expect it to be delivered, and include the auto dump feature also.
But buying ANY rig, sight unseen?
A number of the higher end coaches are moved by hired drivers, not the owners. Lyle Reed had one for his Foretravel before he got involved with the company. Have seen a Realm moved and set up by a driver for an equestrian family that used it at horse shows instead of a hotel.
Most of the people buying new Newells are very involved in the building process from design to final walkthrough just as with building a custom home. And 1.5 million is not quite enough to buy a Newell nowadays. Closer to $2mm.
But yes many Newell owners (at least newer ones) have drivers deliver them to where their lots are. Indio and Petoskey are 2 major areas.
I had a driver before Apple made the IPhone.. Now she sits in the jump seat and pecks endlessly.
Youre going to see the sellers adjust to the market a lot more in the next few months. Some will make it, some not.
I have a close friend / colleague with a Newell and stays very informed with the company. He says they start at 1.9 and very quickly go up from there. I must say from an engineering standpoint those are one hell of a machine. If I had all the money in the world I would most likely pick a Newell over any other brand for the sole reason of how it is built specifically for you from the floor plan to chassis.
Don't get me wrong I am realistic person (without all the money in the world) which is why I own and dearly love my Foretravel.
Yep, exactly why we are anticipating owning a Foretravel as well. Currently live in Oklahoma and occasionally trapse up to Miami OK. for look see.
At one time there used to be "mail order brides". Never knew if one was getting a good one or a bad. You just had to hope your luck was good.
Yup, I had a 2007 Newell and it was a marvelous machine but our 2004 U320 better fits our lifestyle. We moved from our penthouse (the Newell) to our cottage (the U320) and are loving our cottage!
People generally buy because of the superficial stuff anyway. If it looks good online, then it must be nice. ( carvana vending machine).
After catching a few RV shows on GAC I see that folks rarely ask about horsepower or size of water / waste tanks or chassis questions. If it's pretty, and cheap their in.
Wish they made a 40... I $%^&*( buy it...
