I noticed that the coach had been attacked by a couple of birds. It looks like someone spit chewing tobacco on the side of the coach. Tried to wash it off, the main parts came off but left a stain running down the side. I got dawn with a brush and a washrag, all to no avail. Any suggestions on how to get it off without ruining the gel coat?
Thanks, Larry
Awesome. If that doesn't work try some automotive clear coat scratch remover.
The Awesome may damage the vinyl graphics if left on to dry. IDK if that's applicable to your coach or not.
Rainex works for me.
Rainex to remove stains? Never heard of that
Meguiars cleaner wax works great on gel coat.
How about clay bar
I pretty much use the Meguiars cleaner wax for everything I own except I Poly coated the body of the FT
Thanks guys for the advice. I'll see what is available in the area. Supposed to get heavy storms this morning, makes for good shopping time. LT403, I've not heard of clay bar before. What is it?

Try WashWaxAll degreaser. Works pretty well on black streaks

One other thing that works.... Just about everywhere we go, there's a bird that likes to sit on the ladder. A few years ago, we got a flag, flagpole, and the assembly that attaches to the ladder. If you adjust the flagpole where the flag almost touches the top of the ladder, it serves two purposes. It shows your patriotic persuasion and keeps the birds swatted away. It works....

Years ago--too many, by the way, Red Skelton did a skit about Gertrude and Hecliff. (two seagulls talking)
Gertrude says to Hecliff:" Have you seen the new cars yet?"
Hecliff's response:" I spotted one yesterday."
Moral of this little reminiscence? Some birds hate every thing humans made. :))
One of the best things about Awesome is that it is only $1 at Dollar Tree! Caution, it comes as a concentrate; for some things, it may need to have water added.

I use 3m 6085 compound.. Lots of rubbing and at around 40 bucks a quart a bit pricey.. I'm open to a less expensive way out but gel coat is a bear to get stains off of..
Start with the easiest least corrosive or abrasive solutions first til you find one that works on the gel coat. WashWaxAll is a pretty good choice for many.
