Title: Outback Inverter
Post by: Miles and Kim Pepperd on March 28, 2020, 06:44:56 pm
Our 2002 U320, purchased last December, came with an Out back Inverter. We just installed new house batteries and think the inverter settings need to be reset. Does anyone have experience with this inverter in their coach?  Appreciate any suggestions.

Have had Outback inverters in previous coaches and Outback controllers now. The probably have the best phone tech support of any rv electronics company. Call them Monday and you will be able to speak to a knowledgeable tech immediately.

They are in Washington State though, so service may be slower.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know where the model and serial numbers are?  We called and we have to submit form with information before they would talk to us.  May have to take inverter out to find numbers. Not able to find them the way it is mounted.

My model is not listed on website , but if yours is an older model, might be the 2800 watt model.

This is the one I had. If you take the cover off where the battery cables go, you might see some numbers.

My guru buddy used to use outback a lot.

They stops supporting rv use software as well as they did in  older in the newer units according to him.

He switched to Magnum Energy

Outback has Extremely rugged high quality units.  Some versions were sealed for extreme uses.

Ours is a little different. Not sure If the inverter AGS system starts the generator on auto start or if the original foretravel 12 v monitor starts it. We unplugged from shore power today and ran on inverter. Batteries dropped to 11.5 volts before generator started. That is pretty low. Don't think that is good for our 3 new 8D batteries. This technical stuff makes us miss our 94 Grandvilla. We are trying to figure it out. Sure appreciate your reply.
