Title: Aqua hot zone pumps
Post by: ohsonew on March 29, 2020, 02:48:59 pm
I am preparing to fill the aqua hot from the rebuild. Is there a way to cycle the pumps to pump fluid to the different zones without actually running the AH? Can the relay be bypassed or ??????????

Thanks
Larry

I assume you have the installation manual, but just in case, it is attached. Sections 4.24 and 4.25 discuss bleeding the system.

Larry,  Your pumps do not self prime.  So, fill the 16 gallon coolant tank lipping full.  Attach a radiator pressure tester and pump up to 15 lbs.  You can turn on each pump by putting a ground connection to the terminals marked, Bedroom, Bathroom and Living room.  Keep the pressure up around 15 lbs while running each pump.  This will prime the pumps and you will be good to go.

Simple answer is no.. there is a one way valve right above it and you would have to isolate each zone somehow.. not so easy. I thought about adding a ball valve above each pump but really wasnt enough room as it would have casued some rubbing that I didnt want to chance

Bob, thanks for the manual, it is different than the one that I have, I'm printing it off right now. I will add it to the set of manuals for the coach.

Thanks,
Larry

Rudy, thanks. I figured there was a way to bypass the relays to get it primed up. Didn't know that I needed to pressurize the system.
As always I.m in your debt.

Thanks
Larry

Bob, I came to the same conclusion that the room for another valve would be tight. Decided if needed, I could add it later.

Thanks
Larry
