There is a bendix 282811 pressure reducing valve that's part of the cruise control that is bleeding off and not allowing the coach to build more than 100 psi. We're stuck in a truck stop and I'm hoping that there is some way to fix the problem so we can get to our destination. We're only 105 miles from our destination so if there is anything we can do temporarily to get us there would be fine until i can get a new valve ordered. Or if we can fix it here would be great I just don't know what to do.
Thanks in advance
Tyler
IDK.........maybe you can isolate the valve and don't use the cruise control.
Have you tried tapping on it-- you may be able to temporarily free it up?
Maybe you can adjust it down to zero if it's leaking at the output side?
Tyler,
All that valve does is reduce the system air pressure to 60 psi. You can go to Lowes or Home Depot or probably most any hardware store and buy a cheap pressure regulator like used on air compressors. When you get it installed, set it to 60 psi output pressure, and you'll be good to go.
See below for example:

I took apart the valve, cleaned the o-ring/mating surfaces and reassembled using some super lube. It seems to be working properly now but we'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks guys!
RV-1 valve. They are cheap. Might as well replace it or have a spare.
