When no slide out take a piece of cardboard and form a channel to drain the oil clear of the belly pan.

You should be able to open that and drain your oil on a pan.

My 7.5 had a rubber hose attached that you could turn toward a pan but I see no hose on that one so I suspect he will need to either add one or do as I mentioned to  keep the oil from making a mess in the belly pan.

Aluminum foil makes a great "oil chute"

Get a quick drain so you only have to push on a plastic/rubber hose. Use a vacuum cleaner on the oil fill to create negative pressure and you won't have to wait until you change oil to install the quick drain.

Yeah it's there. How much does it hold and what is the suggest oil to use?

How are these things about cleaning. Can I spray it down with degreaser then water?

Use the same oil as you use in your main engine.

Yes on degreaser and water just don't get water into the generator end of the unit.. I don't use a pressure washer, you can get it clean without the pressures..Best to use a brush while degreasing and cleaning then just a stream of water from a hose will clean it up nicely.
