When making this type of repair do you work from both sides, top and bottom, or just from the top?

Iam only able to work from the outside, I open up the crack with a die grinder and when I lay the resin down I push it into the crack as well as the fiberglass mat .
Then I put three more layers on.
I got rained out so will post pictures when it clears up.

Andy, admire your efforts.  You might want to stop drill the crack to prevent the stressors from opening it back up.  I used to do that with my Hatteras way back when.  Here's a link on what I mean. http://fiberglassblog.com/2009/04/29/stopping-a-crack/  Woody.
