Has anyone tried to use a Seelevel tank sensor to replace the Javelina tank system sensors. My Gray water reads 1/2 all the time.
I tried replacing with new foil and copper pads but still 1/2. When I cross sensor wires it reads full.
Don't want to go full Seelevel system unless I have to.
Thanks for any help.
I was trying to see if i could use a Seelevel16' strip sensor to replace the Javelina sensor on the outside of the tank. Still using the existing wiring and monitor
I did. I bought 2 and have monitors in the wet bay and on the side of the bathroom sink. I've very satisfied. I found the Seelevel to be much more accurate. The sensors are on the outside of the tanks.
Totally pleased with Seelevel. The links below show pictures of my important to me, locations for readouts.
Before quickly ordering realize they offer many models and kits. It is often less expensive to order two kits, than ordering separate components.
I chose to install the Garnett SeeLevel II, with a water pump switch. Many good posts here on forum about this. If you go this way, call Garnett, as they offer many various combinations. Instead of increments of 1/4, you have 0 to 100%.
The one with correct temporary on/off switch is only avail on ones from Garnet, mfg of SeeLevel II, Amazon unit has on/off only, not intermittent switch. Bought mine from Amazon, Garnett shipped me correct switch free. I highly recommend their product. Calling them before for part number helps insure getting the right one. Ordering two kits gives correct number of sensors and gives you two remote panels, one for inside, and one for wetbay.
Amazon.com: Garnet 709-P3W SeeLevel II and it is currently out of stock, so can be purchased from Garnett, be sure to ask about correct water pump switch, intermittent type.

How often do you dump your tanks? (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=38563.msg375695#msg375695)
Ed,
Good idea BUT the 2 systems won't work together. Said another way just replacing the sensors with a set of Seelevel strips won't transmit the proper info to the old Javelina system.
You can use the existing wiring to make the Seelevel install.

Was able to use this sensor with the audit 2U9 javelin
Ed ---- Are you sure that your sensors are not contaminated? I have had the same problem and resolved it by cleaning the tank with TSP(trisodium phosphate) which is available from Lowes in their commercial cleaning section. Dump in the TSP, fill to 3/4, let it soak for an hour or two, then drain and flush the tank. I hope this works for you. Have a great day. ---- Fritz
