Title: Hydraulic pump
Post by: bbeane on May 18, 2020, 12:03:44 am
Welllll, looks like my time in the hydraulic pump barrel. My slow seep has turned into a small drip or two in 350 miles. Any one with a 97-2000 ish have a part number for the hydraulic pump, or know a good shop? I'm in the Las Vegas area h added towards Reno.

I've used car parts store seal expander for years on transmissions and PS pumps, always with excellent success. Seals harden with age and the additive softens them. Our MB auto trans developed a huge leak at the input shaft. Didn't drip but steady stream. That was at 250K, now 440K and working well. One quart slowed the leak, the second quart stopped it. Just one example below.

Amazon.com: SealLube - Seals Leaks: Transmissions, Power Steering, Main... (https://www.amazon.com/SealLube-Seal-Expander-8-oz/dp/B079SN84J1/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=hydraulic+seal+additive&qid=1589810922&s=automotive&sr=1-4)

Wait until Carson City for diesel.  $2.05 at Maverik 11 hrs ago.
