Title: Like to add an oven
Post by: dans96u295ft on May 28, 2020, 09:50:18 am
Anyone added an oven? We miss a gas oven even with a new convection microwave? I noticed there is a space below the stove

There is space but to add an oven you would give up that space. That's a significant amount of space in my opinion that I would not want to give up. But if an oven is important to you then that would be the space to use. You already have propane there so you would just switch out the entire cooktop and put an stove with oven in that spot. There are RV ovens/stoves. If I was going to do it I would put in a marine style three burner stove with oven and broiler. That'll run you a better $1,000 plus install.
But for me the convection will work just fine. That along with an instapot, and two induction hobs and I'm set. Of course if you do it document it and post pictures we like pictures.

I think most of the Grand Villas thru 1995 came with a Magic Chef oven/range combo. Not sure of the cost new but I bet you could find a used one out there....

We added a Magic Chef range: 3 burner w/oven. We had it done at Camping World; removed the upper storage drawer (identical to the lower drawer); perfect fit.

Wife had to have an oven. She uses it most days we are in the coach.

We are the same as Roger, there is not a day that we do not use the oven.  It might just be making toast under the broiler but it is always in use.  We have added an oven to a past RV and there is really nothing to it.  With propane already there it is just a matter of cutting the cabinet to fit. This is the first RV that has had a convection oven and we have been using that also.  There have been multiple meals where we have both going at the same time!  With 4 kids & 2 adults there is always something being cooked.

Several people have installed Furrion ovens.  I wish I had an oven and might consider this at some point.

Dan,
Check out the link that bdale listed above.  That is the Furrion oven that I installed in our coach.  The unit itself is about $650 if my memory is correct.
You do lose the drawer under the cooktop, but as a trade off, I removed the giant Bose speaker that was under mu bank of drawers by the sink,  I hade already removed the Bose stereo.
The Furrion over is awesome and the wife just loves it. A oven is a must have for her.
