Post by: Billbag on June 14, 2020, 04:14:42 pm
Oil?, dirt coming from steer axle hub cap.  Thought well let pop it of have a look.
'Stemco' Oil bath may be over full or ?? Something.
Got a screwdriver stood a few moments??  Ok how do I get this thing off.  96f +.  Do this easy way ask the group.
So any thought appreciated.
Trying to send a pix, probably more than one brand of this 'baby moon' design!
Thanks

Unscrew the lugnut covers before you bend something

Thx, thought of that as I stood there in 95+ f'  Because of some spares ( snap on ) on board, thought maybe they don't unscrew back on it in the AM.  Prior POSs lost enough hubcaps, nut covers to carpet a acre.
New to FT,.
Amazing when I get inside, a bit more experience,  don't need to brake anything to learn. Appreciate.

Yes they unscrew and be careful .. not cheap when you have to replace.. and don't over-tighten!!

They make a tool to help with unscrewing them if you are interested.
