Hi all,
Me again! I just read about a galley switch for the gas. I had never known what the two switches above the sink were for. Could these be the galley gas switches people have talked about? Under the sink I only have the water fill switch.
After switching the two toggles again I was able to light the stove for the first time but the refrigerator still has the check light on and will only run on AC.
Thoughts?
If gas has been off for awhile, it may take a number of tries before the air is purged out of the line to the refrigerator.
If you do have a switch that controls gas, easy to determine. Look at the propane tank. Is there an electric solenoid there-- you are right about the time the gas valves were eliminated.
You should not have a gas switch on that year. the switches are probably for the aquahot not the fridge. The fridge just has a button on it for gas or auto. Try the stove and see if you have propane flowing. It is also as brett says there may be a number of tries required to get the air out of the line.
When you say it takes several tries for the frig to start using the gas, what should I be doing other then taking it off of auto?
The check light is now luminary's even when on AC.
Can you hear the igniter sparking when you switch to gas?
Also, if it has been awhile, the burner area may need a good cleaning to get it free of rust that tends to form in the burner tube and then fall down onto the igniter and burner.

Yup, go out and remove the refrigerator outside access door. Have someone turn it on inside while you feel for the gas valve/solenoid to open and listen for the clicking of the ignitor.
Unit is working!! Not sue what I did other then try it a couple times.
Thank you for the help!
Most likely purged air out of the lines.
And this happened sometime on the road!
Any recommendations of where to buy one of these?
