Stranded me twice in 2 days, in town so I'm not complaining. Replaced today with a new Delco-Remey gear reduction starter. Spins great, 1/2 the weight and size. 125,000 miles and 24 years old, not to bad!

Dan what part number did you use to replace your starter?

part no.8200005 38-39 mt delco. $375.35, $180 labor. I thought that was resonable
