I finally got the motorhome out of storage after 2 months. I put it in storage to sell my house. The house sold in one day and will close on 3 August. My last day of work is 28 August. Sold both of my houses with in a year and they both sold the first day. I'm truly blessed. Can't wait to retire and hit the road fulltime.
I left on a small trip back to Nacogdoches to get my new awning installed. My living room slide awning ripped away from the coach last year from old age and some wind. Trina custom made it with thread that is better then stock. It's supposed to hold up better to UV. I also had the bedroom slide topper also replaced and also had the small piece that attaches to the motorhome and the metal cover for the other bedroom window awning. I also had a new Sharp convection/microwave installed while I was there. Very happy with the work that was done.
Right now I'm staying at Ft. Sam Houston RV park for a month. It's my first military campground and I'm truly impressed with it. I got the perfect site. It has two huge oak trees on both sides of the RV. New awnings out and keeping the inside as cool as can be. We had our first 100 degree temp this past weekend. I plan on cleaning the coils on the rear A/C this weekend. The shroud is cracked and I have a new Icon one coming in today. The rear is original and is not cooling as good as the front one. It was replaced in 2017.
That looks like a really nice RV park and roomy parking space. I wish we had access to the military campgrounds, but I only spent about 7 years in the service before I separated out. Looking back, If I had a Do-Over, I think I woulda stuck it out for 20 and retired. O well...
Glad to see Barry's coach is getting used and maintained properly. Barry & Darlene are SUPER HERO members of this Forum, and I know they are happy to see their coach in good hands.
Doing 20+ years was the best thing I ever did. A pension and inexpensive health insurance for life. The campground is only $20 a night with FHU. I originally was going to stay for two weeks, but decided to stay a full month. It's $550 and don't have to pay extra for electricity. With it being as hot as it is, that will save me some money. I have both A/C's going full blast keeping the dog nice and cool.
Keeping this coach going for another 20 years will be my goal.

Nice looking coach. Congrats on selling the house.
Mike, first off, thank you for your service. Looking back, wish I had done the 20 thing myself, but Vietnam was in full swing back than and things were looking not so good! As you know, I tried to purchase Barry's coach, but just a little more than I wanted to spend at the time. You have her looking sweet and up to date! Congrats on the sales of your homes and finding a sweet spot in the RV park!
