This is on our 2014 IH45 Tried to pull the slide out and it was not going out straight. Turned out the hose feeding the slide cylinder broke at the fitting where two hoses come together under the side, right above the exhaust system. After releasing the the pressure at the pump, we were able to get the slide back in. Besides the broken hose I am not able to move the other bedroom slide without oil coming out of the broken hose. Not sure why this is happening since I thought that the valves on the pump open to allow the oil to go to one slide or the other. Today going to try to find a mobile mechanic that can crimp a new fitting on the hose. So we can at least get the other slides in and make the trip home and then to Naco to have new hoses installed.
I was trying to find the sync cylinder to possible cap off there and at retract cylinder but can not figure out where the sync cylinder is. Anyone have a clue?
I didn't even know the later models had a sync cylinder. I thought they went away in 2002. Wish we could help.
I had called FOT tech support at 8 am this morning and was told I would get a call back. I called again at 12:45 pm. Lady said she would send Alan another email. I asked if there was someone in the shop that could answer my questions so I could get my slides in. She said that there boss doesn't allow that. I then asked if I could talk to him then. I then get James VM and leave him a message. Get phone calls from FOT and thought I was getting my call back. Wrong, lady tells me that James had asked her to call me and tell me he doesn't answer questions. She asked me if I was on the list for call backs. I told her I was on the list for a non emergency for over a month, and my broken down list one since 8 this morning. Her it is 2:49pm and still no answer.
I have been very pro FOT. Motorcade says you get free tech support, but if you have to wait all day to get an answer, if I am going to get one, when you're broken down. I don't think that is a positive to be a member. All I am trying to get on the road so I get home and then take it to FOT to be fixed.
I am guessing that there is a sync cylinder since the hose that is broken is different size than at the pump
Call MOT ask for Tech Support
Call FT again and tell them that if a person in the know does not come on the line or call you in 10 mins you are going to make sure the community hears about this lack of interest after spending a fortune on one of the high end coach's. Give them crap for sure, that is absolutely disgusting service.
This reminds me of when we were stuck on I 10 by Quartzite a few yrs ago and I called emerg line at FT and explained what was happening and the on duty tech told me to check throttle cable as it most probably sticking. I told him we had "fly by wire" and he said "oh" Never bothered them after that one.

I had gone to a hose and fitting place to get caps to take the line out of the system. They also had a new hose end that had to be crimped on. Had a company show up to crim connector to the hose but they didn't have correct parts to crimp dash 2. Told me to fold line over and take vice grips to close off.
Got call from FOT at 4:45pm he didn't know exact spot of sync cylinder but after telling him what hose guy said he agreed on bending over and clamping.
I will try this. Stay tuned
Refer to reply #4. FOT is not the only rodeo in town.....
Put cap on one side of line at fitting. Bent over broken hose and used 2 vice grips to hold. Added 3 qt of oil. Was able to get all slides in except for the bed. Will do that one when we leave in morning. With hose bent over and 2 vice grips oil was still leaking from the hose while we were pulling in the big slides. Pictures to follow when get home to computer.
Not knowing what room you might have. A 1 gal tall water bottle. Can be compressed. Top cut open just enough to get either whole hose or tip into it.but you could really compress and form it into a tube. Tall water 1gal size. Or double trash bags.
