Hi everyone,
Curious to know what is in between the roof and your Girard awning to prevent water from going in between.
I have a strip of rubber that is siliconed on one side. Is that the norm?
Does anyone have something different or a better alternative ?
I have a couple of areas that drip water down the coach when it rains.
Thanks
I just changed this gasket. I bought the replacement from Foretravel. I caulked both the coach side and the awning side. see attached pictures for gasket pictures. Note it is a 3 legged gasket, the red is self sticking tape that comes on the gasket. I attached that leg to top of awning. I caulked the opposite side to the coach roof with silicone. The third leg hangs underneath and I assume its meant to act similar to a drip cap.
On both my coaches, the original gasket worked it self loose over the years and finally partially blew off
